Lachlan Pitts: Waived by Chicago
The Bears waived Pitts on Tuesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Pitts joined the Bears in early August after going undrafted out of William & Mary. He was unable to land a spot on the team's 53-man roster, and it's unclear whether he'll draw interest elsewhere.

Bears' Lachlan Pitts: Finds an opportunity
Pitts signed a contract with the Bears on Tuesday.
Pitts went undrafted out of William & Mary, where he caught 28 passes for 543 yards and four touchdowns in his final college season. He'll now work to earn a depth role in Chicago's tight-end corps.
