Seaton announced his retirement Tuesday via Instagram, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Seaton was drafted by the Titans in seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but he didn't last long in Tennessee and spent the majority of his rookie campaign on the Browns' practice squad. He was on and off Tampa Bay's practice squad from the end of 2017 through the 2019 season, but he opted out of the 2020 campaign and was sidelined all last year due to an undisclosed injury.

  • Buccaneers' Brad Seaton: Opts out of 2020 season

Seaton will opt out of the 2020 season, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

  • Browns' Brad Seaton: Spending offseason in Cleveland

Seaton signed a reserve/future contract with the Browns.

The hulking Seaton (6-foot-9, 330 pounds) was taken by the Titans in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, but he didn't last long in Tennessee and ultimately spent the near entirety of his rookie season on the Browns' practice squad. There's no doubting the upside for which his size figures to allow, but Seaton has a lot of work to do in order to earn a spot on the 53-man roster ahead of the 2019 season.
