  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Records 19 yards in Week 6 loss

Lemon caught three of six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 25-14 loss to the Panthers. The rookie wideout briefly exited Week 6 with an undisclosed injury but quickly returned and ended up running a team-high 45 routes on Tanner McKee's 49 dropbcks. It still didn't result in much production, as Lemon's six targets were a distant third on the team. The first-round wide receiver has just 18 catches for 127 yards and no touchdowns on 28 targets through six games. He can't be trusted as a fantasy starter headed into next Monday night's game against the Cowboys.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Back in Sunday's contest

Lemon (undisclosed) returned to Sunday's contest against the Panthers. Lemon visited the sideline tent in the third quarter but was able to reenter the game in the fourth. With Dontayvion Wicks (undisclosed) leaving the game in the final period, Lemon and DeVonta Smith figure to serve as the top WRs available to fill-in QB Tanner McKee the rest of the way.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Heads to medical tent Sunday

Lemon entered the medical tent during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Panthers due to an unspecified injury. The rookie wide receiver had recorded two catches for six yards on five targets prior to checking into the tent. His status for the remainder of the contest is uncertain.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Reels in five passes during loss

Lemon caught five of seven targets for 43 yards during Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Jaguars. Lemon was able to set new career highs in receptions and receiving yards Sunday, finishing second on the team in targets behind fellow wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (8). The rookie is slowly coming into his own with Philadelphia, and he's had an opportunity to operate in a more prominent role with DeVonta Smith (hamstring) sidelined for the last two games. Lemon has now caught 15 of 22 targets for 108 yards over the first five contests of the 2026 campaign.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Uninspiring performance in loss

Lemon caught three of six targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams. Lemon had a chance to step into a more prominent role on offense in the absence of DeVonta Smith (hamstring), but he didn't really see an increase in production. The wide receiver's six targets were a new career high, but he has now registered three or fewer catches in all four games this season while never exceeding 30 receiving yards. Quarterback Jalen Hurts recorded only 93 total passing yards Sunday, so he'll have to better for Lemon to see an increase in production Week 5 versus Jacksonville.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Larger role sans Smith

Lemon and Dontayvion Wicks will both operate in larger roles against the Rams on Sunday due to the absence of DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Chris McPherson of the Eagles' official site reports. The rookie first-rounder has seen his receiving yards steadily increase over the first three games of the regular season, and with Smith sidelined for at least one week, Lemon will have the opportunity to establish himself as a go-to target in the passing game for Jalen Hurts. The Rams will be without starting outside cornerback Jaylen Watson (shoulder), so whomever Los Angeles rolls out as a replacement could be a target that Lemon and the Eagles offense exploits.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Notches three receptions in loss

Lemon recorded three receptions for 29 yards on four targets in Monday's 27-7 loss to the Bears. After taking the field for north of 60 percent of the snaps in both of the Eagles' first two contests, Lemon wasn't a major beneficiary of the absence of tight end Dallas Goedert (knee). Even though the Eagles leaned more heavily on three-wide formations, Lemon saw only a slight uptick in playing time Monday, logging 35 of 50 snaps (70 percent). The rookie first-round pick appears to be little more than a tertiary option in the passing game at this stage of his career, as he's thus far been held to seven catches for 38 yards on nine targets through his first three NFL games.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Abnormal stat line in regular-season debut

Lemon caught three of four targets for minus-five yards in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Commanders. Lemon reeled in a three-yard catch on the team's first possession of the game before later adding a pair of receptions that combined to lose eight yards. The Eagles are operating under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion this season, and they'll look to find more productive ways to get the wide receiver involved Week 2 against the Titans.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Listed as starting receiver, punt returner

Lemon is listed as a starting wide receiver for the Eagles and their top punt returner on the unofficial depth chart released Tuesday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports. The rookie joins DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks as the top three receivers on the depth chart, though Wicks may be prioritized ahead of Lemon in two-wide sets to begin the season. Wicks turned in a strong training camp, while Lemon spent considerable time on the sideline while tending to a hamstring injury. The first-round pick will likely need to impress early in the season before pushing past Wicks as the No. 2 receiver.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Three catches in preseason debut

Lemon brought in three of five targets for five yards and returned one punt for no gain in the Eagles' 30-13 preseason loss to the Bengals on Friday. He also fumbled once but recovered. Lemon made his long-awaited pro debut after finally overcoming a nagging hamstring injury, and although he was certainly kept busy during his time in the game, he extracted minimal gains from his receptions. The 2026 first-round pick still is ticketed for the No. 3 receiver role to open the season despite the missed time, and Lemon now will have the opportunity to garner plenty of practice reps ahead of a Week 1 home matchup against the Commanders on Sunday, Sept. 13.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Not playing Saturday

Lemon (hamstring) won't play in Saturday's preseason game at New England, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Lemon has been dealing with a hamstring injury since at least Aug. 3, but he was listed as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday in advance of this preseason Week 2 matchup. With no game action to speak of yet during exhibition season, the rookie first-round pick seems like a candidate to play this coming Friday at Cincinnati if he progresses enough in his recovery.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Poised to practice again Thursday

Lemon (hamstring) is expected to practice Tuesday in some capacity, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The Eagles had listed Lemon as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice, but he wasn't in uniform that session and was seemingly restricted to individual drills and rehab work off to the side. Though he may not necessarily be a full participant in Thursday's session, Lemon had his shoulder pads and helmet on as he walked on the field, which suggests that he'll be more involved than he was a day earlier. Given that he's been sidelined for most of camp with the right hamstring injury, Lemon would seem unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots, but he may have a more realistic chance at seeing action in the exhibition finale next week versus the Bengals.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Listed as limited, not in uniform for practice

Lemon (hamstring) is listed as a limited participant on the injury report but is not in uniform for Wednesday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Lemon has been sidelined for several weeks while recovering from a hamstring injury, and the report notes he is not suited up for Wednesday's session. However, his "limited" listing suggests he is making progress.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Spotted sprinting on side field

Lemon (hamstring) was spotted sprinting on the side at Monday's practice, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. This is the first sign of progress since Lemon initially started missing practices, along with Saturday's preseason contest at Baltimore, due to a hamstring issue. The rookie first-round pick's next chance for exhibition action before the regular season arrives this coming Saturday in New England.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Still slowed by hamstring injury

Lemon (hamstring) won't take part in Thursday's practice, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports. The rookie first-round pick will be sidelined for his seventh practice of training camp, but he was spotted in a helmet catching passes from a JUGS machine off to the side, per Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal. While his presence on a side field is seemingly a good sign, Lemon appears unlikely to be available for Saturday's preseason opener versus the Ravens. With DeVonta Smith also having been slowed by a hamstring injury in camp, Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown have been seeing added reps with the first-team offense.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Unlikely to break camp as starter

Lemon appears unlikely to start for the Eagles early in the season while he's missed time in the spring and during training camp due to a lingering hamstring injury, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports. Selected with the 20th overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, Lemon was expected to be an immediate contributor for the Eagles following a dazzling final season at USC in which he took home the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver. Unfortunately for the 5-foot-11, 192-pound wideout, he's had few opportunities thus far with the Eagles to showcase his skills, as he's taken limited reps even on the days that the hamstring issue hasn't kept him off the practice field. Lemon still has time to get healthy and make a case for earning a sizable role Week 1, but at this stage of camp, offseason pickup Dontayvion Wicks may have the early edge on opening the season as the Eagles' No. 2 wideout behind DeVonta Smith.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Still sidelined by hamstring injury

Lemon (hamstring) isn't practicing Friday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Lemon and DeVonta Smith first missed practice Tuesday, both due to hamstring injuries. Neither has returned yet, and while reports don't suggest anything serious, Lemon previously dealt with a hamstring injury during the offseason program. In three seasons at USC, he missed just one game due to injury (a concussion in Sept. 2024).

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Misses practice again

Lemon (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. The same applies to DeVonta Smith (hamstring), but per Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia, neither player's hamstring issue is viewed as a long-term concern. As a rookie, the 2026 first-rounder has a chance to make his mark from a fantasy perspective while working alongside Smith in a Philadelphia WR corps that also includes Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Dealing with minor hamstring injury

Lemon missed Tuesday's practice due to a hamstring injury that isn't expected to be a long-term concern, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports. With DeVonta Smith also absent due to a seemingly minor hamstring injury, the Eagles have Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown as their top healthy wide receivers. Reports from training camp suggest Lemon had been getting plenty of first-team work before the hamstring injury first impacted his availability Monday. After a limited practice to start the week, he seems to be sitting out entirely Tuesday morning.

  • Eagles' Makai Lemon: Dealing with hamstring injury

Lemon did not participate in Tuesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. The 2026 first-round pick observed practice off to the side with his right leg in a compression sleeve. Following Monday's trade of A.J. Brown to the Patriots, Lemon is expected to operate as the Eagles' WR2 alongside DeVonta Smith this season. The severity of his hamstring injury isn't clear, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Lemon is done for the remainder of OTAs, with the focus being on having him fully healthy for training camp in July.
