Jimmy Murray: Parts ways with Jets
Murray was waived by the Jets on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The 25-year-old was promoted from the practice squad in late September but didn't see game action during his time on the active roster. Murray could return to the team's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Murray suffered a leg injury in practice a little over two months ago but looks to have made a full recovery given his snap count Saturday. He is expected to be a reserve on the Chiefs' offensive line this season.

Chiefs' James Murray: Leaves practice Tuesday
Murray was forced to leave Tuesday's minicamp practice early due to a leg injury, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
The Holy Cross product spent last season primarily used as a depth offensive lineman, suiting up in just two games. It's unclear how serious Murray's injury is, but it's certainly not a good sign heading into training camp next month.

Murray was elevated to the Chiefs' 53-man roster from the practice squad Tuesday.
Murray was promoted to the 53-man roster after the Chiefs placed fellow offensive lineman Jordan Devey (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday. The Holy Cross product originally found himself on the Chiefs' practice squad this season after he was unable to make the 53-man roster out of the preseason. Murray will most likely serve a depth role on the offensive line for Kansas City.
