  • Alex Hale: Let go by Packers

Hale (eye) was waived with a non-football injury designation by the Packers on Monday.

Hale spent the 2024 season on Green Bay's practice squad after joining the team as part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program. The kicker had been on the active/non-football injury list prior to being let go after he injured his eye while working out. Hale will be sidelined for several weeks, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

  • Packers' Alex Hale: Sidelined to start training camp

Hale (undisclosed) was placed on the active/non-football injury list Friday, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Hale spent the entire 2024 season on the Packers' practice squad and could be headed that direction again in 2025. However, he'll first have to get back on the field after recovering from his undisclosed injury.

  • Packers' Alex Hale: Staying in Green Bay

Hale signed a reserve/future contract with the Packers on Monday.

Hale was designated as the Packers' International Player Pathway Program player after signing with Green Bay in early August and spent the entire 2024 season on the practice squad. He'll be able to participate in OTAs and minicamp over the summer and should have the opportunity to compete for the Packers' kicking duties for the 2025 campaign.

  • Alex Hale: Returns to Green Bay

Hale signed with the Packers' practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Hale was designated as the Packers' International Player Pathway Program player earlier in August, and he's returned to the team's practice squad after missing the initial 53-man roster Tuesday. The Aussie kicker could suit up for Green Bay at some point this season if newly signed kicker Brayden Narveson struggles throughout the year.

  • Alex Hale: Waived Tuesday

Hale was waived by the Packers on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

The kicker signed with Green Bay in early August and was designated as the team's International Player Pathway Program player later in the month, meaning he can join the Packers' practice squad if he clears waivers. The Australian-born player went undrafted out of Oklahoma State in 2024.

  • Packers' Alex Hale: Joins International Player Pathway

The Packers designated Hale as their NFL International Player Pathway player Wednesday.

The Australian-born kicker will not count against the Packers' 53-man roster, but he will have to clear waivers in order to join the team's practice squad, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In a corresponding move, Green Bay cut defensive lineman Kenneth Odumegwu.

  • Packers' Alex Hale: Added to competition

Hale signed a contract with the Packers on Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Hale is now the third kicker on Green Bay's roster, joining the returning Anders Carlson and free-agent addition Greg Joseph. The latter was considered the favorite to land the job, but the addition of Hale, who went undrafted in 2024 out of Oklahoma State, likely signals no one currently has a firm grasp on the role.
