Lions' Michael Warren: Signs with Lions
Warren signed a contract with the Lions on Friday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Warren went undrafted last year before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Eagles. He bounced around the league and made one appearance with Washington as a rookie. He joins another crowded young backfield in Detroit, so it would likely require a strong showing from him in camp to hold on to a roster spot.

Michael Warren: Joins Washington's practice squad
Washington signed Warren to the practice squad Wednesday.
Warren's spot on the practice squad is notable with the context of Antonio Gibson having been diagnosed with a case of turf toe, an injury that could force him to miss time. If Gibson indeed requires a stint on the sideline, it's possible that Warren could see depth opportunities behind J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber.

The Panthers signed Warren to the practice squad Tuesday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.
The undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati spent the summer with Philadelphia and was cut from its practice squad in late September, but he's found a new home in Carolina. Warren, 21 years old, was extremely productive in college, piling up 2,989 yards from scrimmage and 36 total touchdowns over his final two seasons. There's still an uncertain timeline for when Christian McCaffrey (ankle) will return, so Warren will add backfield depth for the time being.
