Anthony Witherstone: Waived with injury settlement
Witherstone (toe) was waived from the Chiefs' IR with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Witherstone reverted to Kansas City's IR last week after going unclaimed off waivers. Now that a settlement has been agreed to, he'll be free to look for a new opportunity once his health allows it. The undrafted free agent is looking for a chance to make a team's 53-man roster as a depth cornerback and special-teams contributor.

Chiefs' Anthony Witherstone: Reverts to injured reserve
Witherstone (toe) reverted to the Chiefs' injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Witherstone was waived with an injury designation Tuesday, but he went unclaimed and thus reverts to Kansas City's injured reserve. The rookie undrafted free agent out of Merrimack will now miss the entire 2023 campaign, barring an injury settlement.

Anthony Witherstone: Let go by Chiefs
Witherstone (toe) has been waived/injured by the Chiefs, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Witherstone injured his toe in Sunday's preseason opening 26-24 loss to the Saints. He is now in danger of being placed on injured reserve should no team claim him off waivers. If that occurs, the cornerback would be in line to miss the remainder of the season unless both he and Kansas City come to terms on an injury settlement.

Chiefs' Anthony Witherstone: Injures toe in loss
Witherstone suffered a toe injury and left Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Saints early, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Witherstone signed a contract with the Chiefs in late July, and it's unclear how long the injury could sideline him. The cornerback is competing for a final roster spot, and if he's unable to play moving forward, his chances are especially slim.
