Chris Orr: Waived by Panthers
The Panthers opted to waive Orr on Saturday, Will Bryan of the team's official website reports.
Orr was on the Panthers' roster for the last three games but never actually saw the field. Assuming he clears waivers, he could potentially land back on the team's practice squad.

Panthers' Chris Orr: Joins active roster
Orr was promoted to the Panthers' active roster from the practice squad Sunday.
The 23-year-old was elevated from the practice squad last week as a replacement player and played 20 snaps on special teams and five snaps on defensive. Orr could play a larger defensive role Sunday if Tahir Whitehead (ribs) is limited or unavailable.

Panthers' Chris Orr: Picked up by Panthers
Orr has reached a deal with the Panthers.
Orr went undrafted but has found an opportunity in Carolina. The Wisconsin product earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2019 during his redshirt senior season. He recorded 11.5 sacks, 14.0 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and five passes defensed. His 11.5 sacks were a school record by an inside linebacker. With Luke Kuechly retired, there is certainly a chance for Orr to make an impression at linebacker.
