Edward Pasquale: Switches KHL teams
Pasquale has signed a contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL, Karl Mansson of Hockeynews.se reports.
Pasquale will stay in the KHL for a fourth straight season after logging a combined 44-27-6 record across the last two years with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. He made two appearances for Team Canada at the 2022 Olympics, but at 31 years old, it's increasingly unlikely he sees another opportunity to play in North America.

Edward Pasquale: Headed overseas
Pasquale has signed a contract with Barys Nur-Sultan of the KHL.
Pasquale has only appeared in three NHL contests since turning pro in 2010-11, so he'll now head overseas to play in Russia's top league, where he'll undoubtedly receive an increase in playing time and pay. The 28-year-old netminder's North American playing days have likely come to an end.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Sent back to minors
Pasquale was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Monday.
Pasquale's demotion is a clear indication that Louis Domingue (lower body) will be ready to serve as the backup to Andrei Vasilevskiy for Game 1 against the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. The 28-year-old Pasquale will return to the Crunch, for whom he posted a 25-12-3 record and 2.37 GAA. The netminder will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and will likely have to move on from the Lightning organization if he wants a shot at the 23-man roster.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Earns win while living NHL dream
Pasquale earned the win Saturday with a 30-save performance over Boston. The final score was 6-3.
He has been solid this week, going 1-1 with a .910 save percentage. Pasquale is a seasoned minor-league veteran living a dream with the best NHL team in a long, long time. His NHL debut came in December and this was just his third start. Great story for Pasquale.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Gets spot start in finale
Pasquale will start in the season finale versus host Boston on Saturday afternoon, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Pasquale can look back fondly on his debut season, even though he only will end up with three starts. After all, we're talking about a 28-year-old goalie who finally ascended to the big stage after several seasons honing his craft in the minors. Pasquale reportedly will be countered by Tuukka Rask in this one.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Showered with pucks
Pasquale allowed four goals on 45 shots in Tuesday's loss to the Canadiens.
With the team playing the second game in as many nights and Louis Domingue (lower body) on the shelf, Pasquale got his second start of the season. The game was meaningless for the Lightning, but Pasquale still showcased a solid effort. He's not expected to get another start for the remainder of the season.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Gets starting nod Tuesday
Pasquale is slated to start in Tuesday's game against the Canadiens, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
It will mark the second career appearance for Pasquale, who stopped only 19 of 24 shots but still managed to pick up the win in his NHL debut back in December against the Red Wings. The 28-year-old will likely stick around with the parent club so long as top backup Louis Domingue continues to deal with a lower-body injury. With the Lightning already having secured the Presidents' Trophy, it's possible that Pasquale could pick up an additional start beyond Tuesday as the team looks to give extra rest to top netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy prior to the playoffs.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Promoted from minors
Pasquale was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Monday.
An injury to Louis Domingue (lower body) necessitated Pasquale's call-up from the minors. Given the Lightning are heading into a back-to-back Monday and Tuesday versus the Senators and Canadiens, respectively, Pasquale could make the second NHL start of his career, especially considering the team has little need to put starter Andrei Vasilevskiy into harm's way by having him take both games.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Returned to Syracuse
Pasquale was sent down to AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.
With Andrei Vasilevskiy (foot) nearing a return to game action, Pasquale was expendable. The 28-year-old won his only start with the Lightning but will return to Syracuse, where he's posted a 5-2-0 record in nine appearances.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Victorious in first career start
Pasquale allowed five goals between 19 saves in Tuesday's 6-5 shootout win over Detroit.
Early jitters may have played a role as Pasquale entered the crease for the first time in his NHL career, facing an organization he spent time with as a minor leaguer. The big goalie settled down after a rough first period, allowing Tampa to come from behind. Pasquale will take a back seat to Louis Domingue most nights as long as heralded starter Andrei Vasilevskiy (foot) misses time, but at least now we know the 28-year-old can handle the pressure of the big stage.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Gearing up for NHL debut
Pasquale will make his NHL debut Tuesday evening against host Detroit, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
It's fitting that the 28-year-old would be matched up against the Red Wings in his first career NHL game, as Pasquale led Detroit's minor-league contingent (AHL Grand Rapids) to the Calder Cup in 2017. The Bolts are clear favorites to win this game -- it's not because of Pasquale's career ties to the Wings, but simply the result of the Lightning having defeated the Original Six club in 12 consecutive contests.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Jumps to big club
The Lightning recalled Pasquale from AHL Syracuse on Sunday.
Pasquale spent time with the Lightning in November but didn't get a crack at game action. That could change this time with back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday, which could allow Pasquale to make his NHL debut. He has struggled in the AHL this year with a .900 save percentage in nine games, so he's considered a risky play no matter who the opponent is.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Returned to Syracuse
Pasquale was sent down to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old netminder did not appear in an NHL game. Pasquale will now return to AHL Syracuse where he holds a 4-2-0 record with a 2.85 GAA and .896 save percentage in seven games this season.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Recalled from minors
Pasquale was called up from AHL Syracuse on Thursday.
With starter Andrei Vasilevskiy (lower body) reportedly dealing with a foot fracture, the Lightning needed to bring in a goalie who could primarily serve as the backup to Louis Domingue: enter Eddie Pasquale. Tampa Bay doesn't have any back-to-backs until December 3/4, which would likely be the first time the Toronto native would see game action, assuming Vasilevskiy is sidelined that long.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Will be rolled out for preseason game
Pasquale will start in goal on the road Wednesday evening versus the Hurricanes, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
The Toronto native fills the net with his 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame, but various scouts have suggested that he's not exactly spry between the pipes. Pasquale is a career AHLer who hasn't played in a regular-season NHL game since the Thrashers (now the Jets) took him in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Secures one-year pact
Pasquale inked a one-year, two-way contract with Tampa Bay on Monday.
Restricted free agent Louis Domingue will likely take on the No. 2 role behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, while Pasquale splits time in the minors with Connor Ingram. Barring an injury between the pipes for the Lightning, fantasy owners probably shouldn't expect to see the 27-year-old Pasquale playing outside of AHL Syracuse.

Lightning's Edward Pasquale: Heading down south
Pasquale has been traded to the Lightning according to Tampa Bay's vice president and general manager, Steve Yzerman.
The Oilers will receive future considerations in exchange for Pasquale. The 27-year-old netminder has a record 6-5-4 with a 2.60 GAA and a .910 save percentage with the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL this season. Pasquale was not a threat to unseat Cam Talbot in Edmonton nor is he a threat to Andrei Vasilekskiy in Tampa. Originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009 (117th overall), the journeyman goaltender is best left on the wire until better opportunities arise.

Oilers' Edward Pasquale: Placed on waivers
Pasquale was waived by the Oilers on Saturday for the purpose of reassignment to AHL Bakersfield.
Pasquale is far behind Cam Talbot -- who logged a ridiculous 4,294 minutes between the pipes last year -- when it comes to Edmonton's goalie pecking order. Laurent Brossoit is also ahead of him, so he may have to battle with Nick Ellis for the right to be the first one called up in the event of a goalie emergency during the season.

Oilers' Edward Pasquale: Acquired by Edmonton
Pasquale was signed to a one-year deal by the Oilers on Saturday.
The 26-year-old was a member of the AHL Grand Rapids team that claimed the 2017 Calder Cup Trophy, but it was Jared Coreau doing all the heavy lifting between the pipes. Pasquale has yet to make his NHL debut and the fact that he's toiled in the minors for six straight seasons should be taken as an ominous sign.

Red Wings' Edward Pasquale: Returns to minors Thursday
Pasquale was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday.
Pasquale received an extended look in training camp, but he had virtually no chance of cracking the Opening Night roster with goalies Petr Mrazek and Jimmy Howard on the books at a combined cost of $9.35 million this season.
