  • Blue Jackets' Gregory Hofmann: Stays hot with game-winner

Hofmann scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over the Jets.

He finished an odd-man rush with Max Domi, wiring home his second goal of the season past Connor Hellebuyck. Hofmann has responded well to being a healthy scratch Nov. 20 against the Golden Knights, picking up three points in two games with six shots on net and a plus-4 rating since returning to the lineup, and the Swiss rookie is showing some intriguing chemistry with Domi.

  • Blue Jackets' Gregory Hofmann: Two helpers in Monday's win

Hofmann picked up two assists in Monday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.

The Swiss League veteran is still getting his feet wet in the NHL as a 29-year-old rookie, but Hofmann may have found a home on the Jackets' third line alongside Jack Roslovic and Max Domi. The trio combined for three goals and eight points in Monday's big win, and while Hofmann has only one goal and five points through his first 15 games with Columbus, he has the offensive skill to be a contributor once he's gotten comfortable.

The goal held up as the eventual game-winner for Hofmann, who also assisted on Oliver Bjorkstrand's goal in the opening period. The 28-year-old Hofmann has three points and four PIM in his first six games as a Blue Jacket.
