  • Nicklas Jensen: Secures contract with KHL team

Jensen signed a contract with Jokerit Helsinki of the KHL on Wednesday, TSN reports.

The Danish winger only saw 31 career NHL games between the Canucks and Rangers, and it seems like his patience wore out, as he failed to secure a stable role at the highest level despite being Vancouver's first-round (29th overall) pick in the 2011 draft. Still, we figure he'll be able to make an impact overseas as a 6-foot-3, 216-pound power winger.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Heads back to minors Saturday

Jensen was assigned to AHL Hartford on Saturday.

Jensen averaged 10:02 over two games since his recall on Jan. 2 but failed to register a point during that span. The former No. 29 overall pick in the 2011 draft will now head back to the Wolf Pack where he's having a highly productive season -- 24 points over 29 games.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Recalled to Broadway

Jensen was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday.

The 23-year-old Dane has gotten into four games this year for the Blueshirts, failing to record a point while averaging 9:23 of ice time. Jensen's been rather beastly with the Wolfpack, however, rattling off 14 goals and 10 points in 29 games, so it'll be interesting to see if he's ready to carry that success over to Broadway. His first chance to dress with the Rangers will come Tuesday at home against the Sabres.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Returned to AHL Hartford

Jensen was sent back to the minors Wednesday.

Jensen saw action in four contests during this stint in the NHL, but was used sparingly, averaging just 9:23 of ice time. Although he was noticeable when on the ice, the winger didn't offer much statistically in that depth role, managing a meager two shots on goal, five hits and one blocked shot. Barring additional injuries, the 23-year-old figures to spend the majority of the year with the Wolf Pack.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Promoted to Rangers

Jensen was recalled from AHL Hartford on Wednesday.

The call-up was necessitated by veteran winger Rick Nash tweaking his groin in Tuesday's game against the Islanders. Originally selected by the Canucks with the 29th overall pick in the 2011 draft, Jensen is a tall (6-foot-3) Danish forward who has picked up 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 21 games with the Wolf Pack this season. He's mobile for his size and capable of slotting in on either wing. Still, it's not often that newly promoted players slide into the top six right away, and Jensen doesn't figure to be the exception.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Waived for reassignment

Jensen was placed on waivers for the purpose of reassignment by the Rangers on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Jensen was brought to New York from Vancouver as part of the Emerson Etem trade and spent the entire season in the AHL split between Utica and Hartford. The Dane logged 25 points with the Wolf Pack after making the switch and figures to be a major contributor in the minors. Considering the 23-year-old will likely spend the vast majority of the season in the AHL, fantasy owners will likely want to pursue other dark-horse options for their lineups.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Agrees to a one-year, two-way contract

Jensen signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Rangers on Tuesday, Dhiren Mahiban of The Canadian Press reports.

Jensen is a prospect acquired via trade during the season and has yet to make an appearance for New York. The winger is likely to spend the bulk of the season in the minors where he netted 15 goals and 10 helpers during the 2015-16 campaign. Should the 23-year-old get called up, fantasy owners may want to keep one eye on his NHL production.

  • Rangers' Nicklas Jensen: Dealt to Rangers

The Canucks traded Jensen and a 2017 sixth-round pick to the Rangers in exchange for Emerson Etem on Friday.

Jensen, a former first-round pick, hasn't done much at the NHL level, tallying six points (three goals, three assists) in 24 career games with the Canucks. The 22-year-old winger will report to AHL Hartford, and could work his way into a bottom-six role with the Rangers if he performs well enough in the minors.
