Fiore was traded to the Coyotes from the Ducks in exchange for Trevor Murphy on Friday.
Fiore has only appeared in one NHL game for Anaheim, logging 7:53 of ice time and a minus-1 rating. While the winger figures to remain in the AHL for now, he could have an easier time breaking into the NHL with the 'Yotes.

Ducks' Giovanni Fiore: Demoted to minors
The Ducks assigned Fiore to AHL San Diego on Friday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
Fiore made his NHL debut Saturday against the Flyers, but he only logged 7:53 of ice time while registering a minus-1 rating during that contest. His demotion suggests Nick Ritchie (lower body) is likely nearing a return to action.

Ducks' Giovanni Fiore: Gearing up for NHL debut
Fiore will slot into the lineup Saturday against the Flyers since Nick Ritchie (lower body) can't play, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
Fiore spent the past five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), most recently playing for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Last season, he racked up 52 goals and 38 assists in 61 games, adding a staggering plus-36 rating. He was able to tear up juniors, so it'll be interesting to see how he performs at the game's highest level.

Ducks' Giovanni Fiore: Recalled from minors
Fiore was promoted from AHL San Diego on Thursday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.
Fiore will provide some depth insurance in the event Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) is unable to give it a go against the Coyotes on Thursday. The 21-year-old Fiore went undrafted out of the QMJHL, which is surprising considering he racked up an impressive 52 goals and 38 helpers in 61 outings last season. If the youngster can produce at even half that level in the AHL, he won't be long for the minors.
