Top Angus Booth News

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Shipped back to minors

Booth was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Tuesday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.

Booth's demotion would seem to indicate that Drew Doughty (lower body) will be back in time to face the Islanders on Thursday -- though the Reign do play Wednesday, which would allow Booth to be brought back up for Thursday's tilt. In his NHL debut Monday, the 21-year-old Booth found the back of the net on his one shot on goal.

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Scores in NHL debut

Booth scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Booth was able to find the twine in his NHL debut. The 21-year-old defenseman's stay on the Kings' roster could be short, as he's filling in while Drew Doughty (lower body) is hurt and Jacob Moverare (personal) is away from the team. Booth has 10 points in 43 outings with AHL Ontario this season, so it's not likely he'll produce sustained offense during his NHL time.

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Called up Monday

Booth was recalled from AHL Ontario on Monday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.

Booth has been shuffled between the AHL and NHL over the past few days, as he was recalled by the Kings on Saturday before being sent back down Sunday. He'll rejoin Los Angeles a day after being sent down. The 21-year-old hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he's recorded a goal, nine assists and 26 PIM over 43 appearances with Ontario this year.

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Returned to AHL affiliate

Booth was loaned to AHL Ontario on Sunday.

Booth was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 2-0 win over Calgary. He has produced one goal and 10 points in 42 minor-league appearances this season. Booth will probably be in the lineup for Sunday's matchup against AHL Bakersfield.

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Called up to NHL

Booth was recalled from AHL Ontario on Saturday.

With the Kings placing Andrei Kuzmenko (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Booth was summoned to Los Angeles in the corresponding move. Across 42 games with Ontario this season, the 21-year-old blueliner has nine assists, 10 points, a plus-one rating and 29 shots on goal. Booth will have a chance to make his NHL debut with the Kings if he can work his way into one of the top three pairings or if Drew Doughty (lower body) misses time.

  • Kings' Angus Booth: Sent to AHL

Booth (lower body) was activated from the injured non-roster list and loaned to AHL Ontario on Monday.

Booth sustained a lower-body injury in mid-September and was forced to miss just over a month due to the issue. He made 50 regular-season appearances in the AHL last year and racked up two goals, 13 points and 38 PIM, and he should have an opportunity to carve out ample playing time once again this year now that he's healthy.
