Predators' Spencer Stastney: Posts helper Tuesday
Stastney logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Flames.
Stastney ended an eight-game point drought with the helper. The 25-year-old has played regularly in a bottom-four role this season, but he hasn't been the most consistent blueliner when it comes to offense. For the year, he's at seven points, 23 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating across a career-high 25 appearances.

Predators' Spencer Stastney: Tallies in Sunday's loss
Stastney scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.
Stastney is helping his case for staying in the lineup with a four-game point streak (one goal, three assists). The 25-year-old defenseman has added eight shots on net, nine blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 10 appearances this season. He's already matched his career high in points for one NHL campaign, but he'll need to stay sharp to fend off any challenges for playing time from Nick Blankenburg.

Stastney registered an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Ducks.
The helper was Stastney's first point in seven games this season. Predators' Spencer Stastney: Battling upper-body injury
Stastney will miss Thursday's game against Nashville due to an upper-body injury.
Stastney has three assists in 22 appearances in 2024-25. His absence will probably result in Nashville dressing 12 forwards and six defensemen after utilizing an 11-7 split in its last game Tuesday, which would lead to Ozzy Wiesblatt drawing into the lineup. Stastney is considered day-to-day, so he might be an option to return Sunday versus Montreal.

Predators' Spencer Stastney: Lends helper Saturday
Stastney notched an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Stastney has three helpers over his last seven contests while seeing fairly steady usage on the third pairing. He'll have to fend off Jordan Oesterle for playing time, but Andreas Englund is likely in more danger of stepping out of the lineup than Stastney. For the season, the 25-year-old Stastney is up to three helpers, 12 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating across 16 NHL appearances.

Predators' Spencer Stastney: Assists in consecutive contests
Stastney notched an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
Stastney had the secondary helper on Steven Stamkos' goal in overtime. The 25-year-old Stastney has earned an assist in consecutive games while stepping into a top-four role and a power-play spot in recent contests. He's a lock to be in the lineup as long as Roman Josi (upper body) is out, though the Predators were forced into dressing seven defensemen with no spare healthy forwards on the roster. Fantasy managers in deep formats may get some value out of Stastney, who has two assists, 10 shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 11 appearances. Brady Skjei remains the safest healthy blueliner to roster from Nashville.

Stastney notched an assist in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Kraken.
Stastney had failed to earn a point over his previous nine NHL outings this season. The 25-year-old blueliner ended that slump with a helper on Luke Evangelista's empty-netter in the third period. Over the previous two campaigns, Stastney had six points in 28 appearances, so his offensive upside is limited. He's added nine shots on net, 10 blocked shots, two hits and a minus-4 rating in 2024-25 while seeing bottom-four minutes.

Stastney was called up by Nashville on Thursday, according to John Glennon of NHL.com.
Stastney has a goal and three points in 10 outings with AHL Milwaukee in 2024-25. He's up from the minors since defensemen Adam Wilsby (upper body) and Jeremy Lauzon (lower body) are both dealing with injuries.
