Sabres' Peyton Krebs: First goal finds vacant net
Krebs scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Devils.
Krebs hadn't scored all year, but despite his futility, he's spent the last four games in a top-line gig. He's made the most of it with three points in that span, but the 24-year-old is a bit miscast that high in the lineup. Overall, he's posted one goal, 10 assists, 42 shots on net, 85 hits, 21 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a minus-6 rating through 35 appearances this season.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Reaches double-digit assists
Krebs recorded an assist, blocked a shot and dished out three hits in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.
Krebs played a hand in Tage Thompson's goal midway through the second period, which gave the Sabres a 2-0 lead. With the apple, Krebs is up to 10 assists, 39 shots on goal, 84 hits and 20 blocks through 34 outings this season. While he is yet to score a goal this season, the 24-year-old forward has three helpers in his last six outings. With Jason Zucker (lower body) likely out until after Christmas Day, Krebs has moved up to the Sabres' top line and should see heightened usage in the interim. While he lacks the high-end scoring potential of other Buffalo forwards, his category coverage of 84 hits, which ranks second on the team, gives him decent streaming value in deep fantasy formats for the time being.

Krebs (illness) is feeling better Thursday and is expected to suit up against the Flyers, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Dealing with illness
Head coach Lindy Ruff said Wednesday that Krebs is dealing with an illness, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
Krebs was absent from Wednesday's practice session due to his illness, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up for Thursday's home game against the Flyers. The 24-year-old hasn't missed a game this year while recording nine assists, 76 hits and 19 blocked shots through 32 appearances. If he's unable to suit up against Philadelphia, Tyson Kozak could enter the lineup.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Puts up assist
Krebs notched an assist, four hits and four PIM in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Flames.
Krebs has chipped in five helpers over his last 13 games, but he hasn't scored yet this season. He's at eight assists, 34 shots on net, 73 hits, 40 PIM, 18 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 29 outings overall. Krebs' mediocre offense is likely to keep him in a bottom-six role, but he had a career-high 10 goals and 28 points in 2024-25 while shooting 12.5 percent, so he should be able to pick up the pace.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Logs helper in loss
Krebs notched a power-play assist, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Krebs ended an eight-game point drought with the helper, which was on a Tage Thompson tally in the second period. The 24-year-old Krebs has moved around the lineup a bit this season but has mostly featured on the fourth line. He's at four assists, 15 shots on net, 42 hits, 27 PIM and a minus-10 rating across 17 appearances.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Provides assist
Krebs notched an assist, four hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Senators.
The helper was Krebs' first point of the season. The 24-year-old was listed on the second line Wednesday but still saw just 12:52 of ice time in the contest. He could stick further in the lineup while Josh Norris (upper body) is out, but it's likely the Sabres try a number of different lineup combinations. Krebs has added four shots on net, nine hits and a minus-2 rating through four appearances.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nets shortie
Krebs scored a shorthanded goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Krebs snapped his seven-game goal drought with his first-period tally. The 24-year-old center emerged as a middle-six option late in the season after spending much of the early part of 2024-25 on the fourth line. Krebs reached the 10-goal mark for the first time in his career with Thursday's tally, and he ended the season with 28 points and 81 games played, both career highs. He added 80 shots on net, 136 hits, 60 PIM and a plus-1 rating.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nabs helper Sunday
Krebs logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.
Krebs has three helpers over his last six games. Prior to that, he had a stretch of six points over five contests, so this is a bit of a slowdown but nothing to be concerned about for a middle-six forward. The 24-year-old is at a career-high 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) while adding 75 shots on net, 130 hits, 32 blocked shots, 60 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 79 appearances this season.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Contributes pair of assists
Krebs notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Bruins.
Krebs saw a five-game point streak end Saturday versus the Lightning, but he bounced back quickly. He has three goals and five assists over his last seven contests despite a lack of power-play time during his hot stretch. Overall, the 24-year-old center has matched his career high with 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists), over 75 games, which is identical production to his 74-game effort in 2022-23. He's added 72 shots on net, 122 hits, 60 PIM and an even plus-minus rating this year as a regular in Buffalo's bottom six.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Riding five-game point streak
Krebs scored a goal, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Krebs is on a five-game point streak, earning three goals and three assists in that span. He's in a bottom-six role at even strength, but he's earned a bit more ice time with his recent play, including his fourth-highest total of the season Tuesday (17:46). Overall, the center has nine goals, 24 points, 69 shots, 117 hits, 60 PIM and a minus-2 rating across 73 appearances.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Strikes empty net Sunday
Krebs scored an empty-net goal and had two shots on net in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Capitals.
Krebs placed the cherry on top of a March-Madness-worthy upset over the Capitals in a 13-goal thriller. Overall, Krebs has eight goals, 23 points and 68 shots on net in 72 appearances this season. The 24-year-old center has been one of many Sabres forwards thriving offensively as of late and has a four-game point streak consisting of two goals and three assists. Krebs is just three points away from tying his career high in points from the 2022-23 campaign. If he can maintain the momentum he has built on his four-game point streak, he has a great chance to pencil the 2024-25 season as a new personal best.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Two points in rout
Krebs scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Penguins.
It was Krebs' first multi-point performance since Jan. 20. The 24-year-old is up to seven goals and 21 points through 70 appearances, but he has produced a career-high 115 hits while mainly serving in a bottom-six role.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Nets power-play goal
Krebs scored a power-play goal and tallied four shots on net in Monday's 3-2 win in overtime against Boston.
Krebs lit the lamp for the opening goal of Monday's contest just over four minutes into the first period. His goal came with a man advantage and was his first power-play point of the season. Overall, the 24-year-old center has six goals, 18 points and 62 shots on net in 65 appearances this season. Krebs still has time to match his career high in points of 26 but is currently off the pace with just two points in his last 20 games. What is encouraging, however, is that both of those points are goals in his past six appearances. Krebs is best left off fantasy radars for the time being but should see a good amount of ice time down the stretch, as the Sabres are unlikely to grab a playoff spot in the Atlantic.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Gets on scoresheet with goal
Krebs scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Lightning.
Krebs snapped a 14-game point drought, and he did it with his first goal since Dec. 29. Over the 23 contests between tallies, the center was limited to five assists, a minus-5 rating, 23 shots on net and 39 hits. Krebs brings a physical element to the Sabres' bottom six, but his scoring is limited. He's at 17 points through 60 outings, matching his total from 80 appearances a year ago, and he's added 55 shots on net, 35 PIM and 106 hits in 2024-25.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Slump continues Thursday
Krebs' point drought reached 11 games in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Krebs has seen his ice time fluctuate wildly during the drought -- it's been as high 21:42 and as low as 8:56. He was at 17:47 in Thursday's loss, in which he had two shots on net, two hits and a minus-2 rating. Krebs has primarily served as a bottom-six forward this season, earning 16 points, 53 shots on net, 98 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-6 rating through 56 contests. Until his offense shows up again, he can be left on the waiver wire in most fantasy formats.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Supplies pair of assists
Krebs registered two assists and two shots on goal in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Kraken.
Krebs hasn't scored in nine games, but he has five assists in that span. The 23-year-old forward saw 16:05 of ice time Monday, his most in any game since Dec. 11. Krebs has been up on the third line recently, which could help his production. He's at 16 points over 45 contests, one point shy of matching his 80-game output from 2023-24. He's added 36 shots on net, 74 hits, 21 PIM and a minus-3 rating in 2024-25.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Generates helper Thursday
Krebs notched an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Senators.
Krebs has earned three points over his last six outings. He remains firmly in a bottom-six role, though he could draw a little more playing time if the Sabres' usage of seven defensemen from Thursday becomes a regular thing. Krebs is at 13 points, 30 shots on net, 71 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 41 appearances.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Curbs dry spell Sunday
Krebs netted an even-strength goal on two shots and added two blocked shots, one hit and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
Krebs redirected a Bowen Byram shot to open the scoring at 6:52 of the first period. The goal was Krebs' first since Nov. 23, and he snapped a seven-game point drought in the process. The 23-year-old is skating on the third line, but he's received minimal time on the man advantage over his last six games. That's unlikely to change considering all of Krebs' offensive contributions have come at even strength in 2024-25. The Calgary native has chipped in four goals and 11 points through 36 appearances.

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Gathers assist in loss
Krebs notched an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Rangers.
Krebs has three helpers over his last three outings. Two of his three highest ice-time totals have come over the last two games, including a season-high 17:10 in this loss, which suggests he's playing a larger role than his fourth-line assignment indicates. Krebs hasn't had much success in 2024-25 with 10 points, 22 shots on net, 48 hits, 15 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 28 appearances, but a major lineup shuffle could be on the way after the Sabres dropped an eighth straight game Wednesday. Given Krebs' recent trends, he could stand to benefit.
