  • Kings' Samuel Bolduc: Supplies three assists

Bolduc logged three assists in AHL Ontario's 6-1 win over Calgary on Saturday. Bolduc is thawing out after an eight-game cold spell. He's earned four assists over his last three contests and now has 10 points in 19 outings this season. As long as the Kings stay healthy on defense, Bolduc is unlikely to see much usage at the NHL level but should maintain a steady role for Ontario.

  • Kings' Samuel Bolduc: Nets two goals for Reign

Bolduc scored twice in AHL Ontario's 3-2 win over Colorado on Sunday. A two-goal game for a defenseman is good work, regardless of league. There's unlikely to be a spot for Bolduc at the NHL level this year barring drastic changes to the Kings' blue line, but he's arguably the most likely of Ontario's defensemen to get a call-up. Bolduc's pair of goals Sunday accounted for his first scoring contributions over four outings in 2025-26.

  • Kings' Samuel Bolduc: Placed on waivers

Bolduc was put on waivers by the Kings on Wednesday. Bolduc had nine goals and 35 points in 69 regular-season outings with AHL Bridgeport in 2024-25. Although the 24-year-old defenseman is set to start the upcoming campaign with AHL Ontario, Bolduc might be among LA's top call-up options if the Kings need help on the blue line.

  • Kings' Samuel Bolduc: Agrees to two-way deal

Bolduc signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Kings on Wednesday, per PuckPedia. Bolduc had six goals and 35 points across 69 regular-season appearances with AHL Bridgeport in 2024-25. He also appeared in one game with the Islanders last season, but Bolduc logged just 5:56 of ice time in that outing. The 24-year-old is expected to start this coming season in the minors.

  • Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Will hit unrestricted free agency

Bolduc was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Islanders on Monday and will be an unrestricted free agent, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Bolduc was a staple with AHL Bridgeport, appearing in 69 games and posting nine goals and 26 assists. He also appeared in one game in the NHL, but received under six minutes of ice time. Regardless, it wasn't quite good enough to earn a qualifying offer with the Islanders, and he will be forced to look elsewhere for opportunities to continue his career in North America when free agency opens Tuesday.

  • Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Returned to minors

Bolduc was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Monday. Bolduc's demotion would seem to indicate that Alexander Romanov (upper body) is healthy enough to play Tuesday against Pittsburgh. In his lone appearance this season, Bolduc logged a meager 5:56 of ice time and registered a minus-1 rating. Look for Bolduc to spend the bulk of his time in the minors this year.

  • Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Placed on waivers Sunday

Bolduc was placed on waivers by the Islanders on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Bolduc made 34 regular-season appearances with the Islanders last year, racking up five points and 40 blocked shots while averaging 13:09 of ice time. If he clears waivers, he'll likely begin this year in the AHL, but he could be called up at some point if the NHL club needs additional depth.

  • Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Two points in return Wednesday

Bolduc scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Penguins. The 23-year-old blueliner hadn't been in the Islanders' lineup since Jan. 27, falling out of the blue-line mix soon after Patrick Roy took over as head coach. Following a conditioning stint with AHL Bridgeport, Bolduc rejoined the team for the regular-season finale and made an immediate impact. If Noah Dobson (upper body) isn't ready to play Saturday for Game 1 of a first-round series against Carolina, Bolduc could wind up seeing a regular shift.

  • Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Nets first goal of season

Bolduc scored a goal on his lone shot in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins. Bolduc scored the Islanders' only tally midway through the third period Sunday, firing a loose puck past Alex Nedeljkovic for his first goal of the season. The 23-year-old blueliner doesn't offer much offensively (he now has three points through 26 games), though he should see regular playing time while Adam Pelech (upper body) and Ryan Pulock (lower body) are sidelined.
