Taylor was reassigned to AHL Belleville, per the official AHL transaction log.
With Ottawa's season coming to a close, Taylor will bump down to AHL Belleville and receive some playing time as the minor league season comes to a close. The 31-year-old received his only start of the season Saturday against Boston but was just able to stop 30 of 34 shots on goal in his first NHL appearance since 2012-13.

Taylor made 30 saves on 34 shots Saturday, as his first NHL game of the year closed out his team's season with a 5-2 loss to the Bruins.
There wasn't anything memorable about Taylor's numbers, but that's been true of whoever Ottawa has put in the goal this season. Taylor was under a one-year contract this year and will become a free agent, and odds are that he'll be playing next year in the AHL, whether it's with Belleville again or another organization.

Taylor will tend the twine for Saturday's season finale against the Bruins, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Taylor will log his first NHL game since 2012-13 when he was with Calgary. The 31-year-old spent the past four seasons playing overseas before linking up with Ottawa this past offseason. The Englishman will likely spend the bulk of the 2018-19 campaign with AHL Belleville, given that both Craig Anderson and Mike Condon are also under contract next year.

The Senators recalled Taylor from AHL Belleville on Tuesday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Mike Condon (upper body) won't be available for Wednesday's game against the Sabres, so Taylor will likely backup Craig Anderson in Buffalo. The 31-year-old netminder will be demoted to the minors as soon as Condon is cleared to return.

Taylor was with the parent club for less than 24 hours as relief for Craig Anderson, who is battling an illness. The 31-year-old backstop hasn't played in a NHL game since the 2012-13 season, when he posted a 1-1-0 record and .912 save percentage for the Flames.

While he was waived ahead of the season, Taylor went unclaimed and patiently awaited his turn in the minors. Starting goalie Craig Anderson is under the weather, so the 31-year-old will be on hand as an emergency option ahead of a road game against the Panthers on Saturday evening.

Senators' Daniel Taylor: Designated for waivers
Taylor was waived by the Senators on Friday for the purpose of reassignment, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Taylor did log half a game of preseason action Sept. 18 against the Leafs in which he faced 15 shots on goal -- allowing just one to find the back of the net. Unfortunately for the 31-year-old, the Sens are pretty deep in goal, so cracking the 23-man roster this year is probably a long shot at best.

Senators' Daniel Taylor: Will see action Monday
Taylor will man the crease for the second half of Monday's preseason contest versus Toronto, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports.
Taylor hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2012-13, when he logged two outings for Calgary. Since that time, the 31-year-old has toiled away in Europe -- primarily in the KHL. Last year with Novosibirsk, the netminder went 12-11-0 with a 1.75 GAA. Mike Condon has the inside track for the No. 2 job -- especially after how he stepped up in 2016-17 -- with Taylor possibly auditioning for the other 30 teams in the league.

Daniel Taylor: Returning to North America
Taylor signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Senators on Saturday.
After playing the past four seasons in Europe, Taylor is looking to bring his talents back to the NHL. He's coming off a remarkable season where he recorded a .932 save percentage and 1.75 GAA over 46 games with Zagreb Medvescak and Novosibirsk Sibir of the KHL. Taylor, 31, will likely still spend most of his time in the AHL since Craig Anderson and Mike Condon are still on staff in Ottawa, but look for his name to come up if there's need for relief in goal.
