Flyers' Cam York: Considered day-to-day
The Flyers announced Thursday that York (upper body) is considered day-to-day.
York suffered an upper-body injury during Wednesday's game against the Sabres and was unable to return to the matchup. While it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Sunday's game against the Avalanche, it doesn't seem as though the Flyers expect him to miss extended time.

Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Picks up helper
Grebenkin posted an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Grebenkin has a chance to take on a middle-six role since Tyson Foerster (upper body) will be out for at least two months. The first audition on the third line went well, as Grebenkin helped out on a Bobby Brink tally in the first period, which stood as the game-winner. Grebenkin is four points, seven shots on net, 34 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 17 appearances. Fantasy managers can wait to see if he proves himself more offense before making a move.

Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Contributes two assists
Sanheim notched two assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Sanheim earned his first multi-point effort since Oct. 13 versus the Panthers. Over the last seven games, Sanheim has collected four assists with a minus-1 rating. The 29-year-old blueliner plays a key all-situations role for the Flyers and is up to 11 points, 34 shots on net, 49 blocked shots and 18 hits over 26 appearances. While he gets plenty of ice time, his defensive duties will often get in the way of him shining on offense, which limits his effectiveness in fantasy.

Flyers' Matvei Michkov: Adds two helpers
Michkov notched two assists, two shots on goal and four PIM in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Michkov set up a Travis Konecny power-play goal in the first period as well as Owen Tippett's insurance tally in the second. With four goals and three assists over his last seven games, Michkov is starting to find a bit more consistency again. The 20-year-old winger is up to 16 points, 54 shots on net, 14 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 26 outings overall.

Flyers' Owen Tippett: Finds twine Wednesday
Tippett scored a goal on five shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Tippett has four goals and eight assists over his last 10 games. The 26-year-old provided an insurance tally in the second period of this contest, which was the last goal of the game. He's up to nine goals, 18 points, 66 shots on net, 45 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 26 appearances this season. Tippett's on pace for a career year -- he'll need to surpass the 53 points he recorded over 78 outings in 2023-24.

Flyers' Trevor Zegras: Lights lamp Wednesday
Zegras scored a power-play goal on four shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Zegras extended his point streak to four games (three goals, two assists) with his first-period go-ahead goal. The 24-year-old also took a rough hit from Rasmus Dahlin in the second period, but Zegras was able to stay in the game. For the season, Zegras is at 10 goals, 26 points (11 on the power play), 65 shots on net, 20 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 26 appearances, mainly in a top-six role.

Flyers' Bobby Brink: One of each in Wednesday's win
Brink scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Brink's offense has been almost nonexistent lately -- he had just one goal over his previous 12 outings. Reuniting with Noah Cates on the third line looked to benefit both players, who set up each other's goals. Brink's tally was the game-winner, and he's up to seven goals, five assists, 50 shots on net, 32 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-5 rating across 26 appearances this season.

Flyers' Noah Cates: Goal, assist in win
Cates scored a goal on five shots, added an assist, went plus-2 and blocked four shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Cates snapped a five-game point drought with the effort. He's gotten on the scoresheet in just two of his last 12 games, but he has two goals and three assists in that span. The 26-year-old forward continues to fill a steady middle-six role with time on the second power-play unit. He's up to six goals, 15 points, 50 shots on net, 24 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating across 26 outings this season. At that pace, Cates is on track to exceed the 40-point mark for the first time in his career.

Flyers' Travis Konecny: Two power-play points in win
Konecny scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Konecny ended his 11-game goal drought at 8:26 of the first period to tie the game at 1-1. He also set up a Trevor Zegras tally less than a minute later. For the season, Konecny is up to six goals, 16 helpers, six power-play points, 52 shots on net, 39 hits, 19 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 26 appearances. He had eight assists during the goal drought.

Flyers' Cam York: Injury clarified
York sustained an upper-body injury versus the Sabres on Wednesday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
York's injury was not specified when the Flyers announced him as out for the rest of the game. He was hurt on a hit behind the net during the second period. It's unclear if the blueliner will be ready to play Sunday versus the Avalanche.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Allows two goals in win
Ersson stopped 24 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.
Ersson earned his first regulation win of the season after his previous four victories all came in the shootout. The 26-year-old limited the damage to goals by Jason Zucker and Bowen Byram. Ersson is now 5-2-2 with a 2.97 GAA and an .867 save percentage over nine appearances. Dan Vladar is still serving as the Flyers' go-to starter, but with three wins in his last four outings, Ersson has at least been able to get results lately. Neither goalie will be a recommended option in fantasy when the Flyers host the Avalanche on Sunday.

Flyers' Cam York: Sustains undisclosed injury
York (undisclosed) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Sabres.
York was hurt late in the second period and didn't come out for the third. The nature of the injury isn't yet known. The Flyers don't play again until Sunday versus the Avalanche, and if York can't suit up, Noah Juulsen would likely draw back into the lineup.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: On injured reserve
Foerster (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
The Flyers announced Tuesday that Foerster is expected to miss the next 2-3 months, so his placement on injured reserve isn't surprising. He has 10 goals and 13 points in 21 outings this season. Matvei Michkov should see an increase in his workload due to Foerster's absence.

Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Needs at least one more week
Ristolainen (triceps) will miss at least another week, according to Kevin Kurz of The Athletic on Wednesday.
Head coach Rick Tocchet added that Ristolainen should be back within a month, which covers a much wider range. Ristolainen hasn't played yet this season due to the injury. The 31-year-old will likely serve in a top-four capacity once he's healthy, and his return would make it harder for Noah Juulsen to feature in the lineup with any regularity.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: First goalie off Wednesday
Ersson was the first goalie to leave the ice ahead of Wednesday's home clash with the Sabres, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports, indicating he'll be in goal.
Ersson has given up three or more goals in six of his eight outings this year, posting a 4-2-2 record, 3.09 GAA and .859 save percentage. The 26-year-old backstop will be making his third appearance in the Flyers' last seven outings despite his underwhelming numbers.

Flyers' Carl Grundstrom: Recalled Tuesday
Grundstrom was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.
Grundstrom is set to take on a depth role for the Flyers after Tyson Foerster (upper body) was ruled out for 2-3 months following an MRI on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Grundstrom has made just one NHL appearance this season, and he's posted 15 points in 19 AHL games with the Phantoms.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Set to miss substantial time
Foerster (upper body) will be out for 2-3 months, the team announced Tuesday.
More details regarding Foerster's injury may be revealed if the team decides to announce the results of the winger's MRI. The 23-year-old is now slated to be out until at least early February, though it seems probable that it will be longer if the club decides to hold him out through the Olympic break. The Flyers have just two games during the first week of February before the NHL's two-week halt in the schedule in the middle of the month.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Undergoes MRI
Foerster (upper body) had an MRI on Tuesday, though the team hasn't released any details regarding his injury, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.
Foerster was forced to exit Monday's matchup with the Penguins after suffering his upper-body injury. Since returning from a previous four-game absence in early November, the 23-year-old winger scored six goals in 10 games, including one with the man advantage. If Foerster does miss any time, it would likely open up a spot in the top six for Matvei Michkov. While not officially ruled out, it seems unlikely Foerster will suit up versus the Sabres on Wednesday.
