Chiefs' Trey Smith: Practices in full
Smith (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Smith missed Kansas City's last three games due to an ankle sprain, but it appears he's back to full health and ready for Sunday's road matchup against the Titans. With Patrick Mahomes (knee) done for the year, Smith will work to keep Gardner Minshew upright as he returns to his usual starting role at right guard.

Chiefs' Trey Smith: Won't take field vs. Chargers
Smith (ankle) is officially listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Chargers, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
It looked like Smith would be able to return to game action in Week 15 when he managed a full practice Wednesday, but he subsequently downgraded to limited participation Thursday and then missed practice entirely Friday. Per Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com, coach Andy Reid said Friday, "I don't think he's quite there." Now he'll miss his third straight game as he continues to recover from an ankle sprain, and Mike Caliendo projects to make another start at right guard in his stead.

Smith (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Houston.
Smith was unable to practice all week due to high and low ankle sprains, and he appears to be trending toward missing a second consecutive game. Chiefs' Trey Smith: Logs DNP on Wednesday
Smith (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
The Tennessee product was sidelined for Kansas City's Week 13 loss to the Cowboys after sustaining high and low ankle sprains the game prior, and Wednesday's DNP suggests he's still dealing with the issue. Smith likely needs to upgrade to at least limited practice Thursday or Friday in order to play in Sunday night's matchup against the Texans.

Chiefs' Trey Smith: Officially out for Thursday
Smith (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Cowboys.
The 26-year-old sustained both high and low ankle sprains in the Chiefs' Week 12 win over the Colts, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up Thursday. While Smith is sidelined, expect Jaylon Moore to operate as Kansas City's top right guard.
