The right guard was dealing with a hip injury during training camp, though it was described even then as a short-term issue. Smith's availability for Week 1 was never really in doubt, and now that he's practicing ahead of Monday's matchup with Denver, he should be ready to play come game time.

The veteran has been hampered by a hip injury of late, but it was not expected to impact his availability for the regular season. Coach Andy Reid would not commit to Smith being back for Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers, but a return is seemingly on the horizon.

Smith (ankle) was spotted at Thursday's training camp practice.
Smith dealt with back and ankle injuries in 2025, which limited him to 12 regular-season games, though he appears to be fully healthy for the start of training camp. The 2021 sixth-rounder enters camp as the favorite to secure a starting spot at right guard.
Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Smith was unable to practice all week due to an ankle injury and will not suit up for Sunday's AFC West tilt, and he'll end the year having started in 12 regular-season games. Mike Caliendo figures to start at right guard in Smith's absence.
