  • Cardinals' Devin Duvernay: Inks one-year deal with Arizona

Duvernay and the Cardinals agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.5 million contract Sunday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

Duvernay served as the Bears' primary returner on both kickoffs and punts. He returned 40 kickoffs for 1,069 yards (fifth most in the NFL) and 21 punts for 231 yards across 17 regular-season games in 2025. Duvernay is unlikely to see many snaps on offense in Arizona but should reprise his return role with his new team.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: No offensive involvement

Duvernay was not targeted in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Duvernay played all 17 games and finished the season with two receptions on five targets for 26 yards. He has totaled 17 catches over the past three seasons and operated almost exclusively as a return specialist, leaving minimal offensive fantasy value. He is set to hit free agency.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Goes without catch in Week 17

Duvernay failed to haul in his lone target while playing 11 of 66 snaps on offense in Sunday's 42-38 loss to the 49ers. He also returned a kickoff for 29 yards.

The two-time Pro Bowl return man will continue to offer most of his value to the Bears on special teams, but he was needed to take on more reps than usual as a depth receiver in Week 17 since Rome Odunze (foot) and Olamide Zaccheaus (illness) were inactive for the contest. While Zaccheaus should be back for Week 18 against the Lions, Odunze is more uncertain to play, and the Bears could be down another receiver in Luther Burden, who sustained a quadriceps injury in the loss to San Francisco. If the Bears are without both Odunze and Burden in Week 18, Duvernay could once again be called upon to serve as the team's No. 4 wideout behind DJ Moore, Zaccheaus and Jahdae Walker.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Minimal offensive contribution

Duvernay caught one pass for 24 yards on one target in the Bears' 28-21 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Duvernay recorded his second catch of the season and his first since Week 8 while continuing to work primarily on kick returns. His one target in Week 14 keeps him off the fantasy radar outside of formats that reward return production.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Minimal involvement

Duvernay caught one of three targets for two yards and returned three kickoffs for 96 yards in the Bears' 30-16 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

Duvernay continued to work primarily as a return specialist while seeing limited offensive targets. His role offers little fantasy value outside of formats that count return production.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Remains limited to return role

Duvernay returned five kickoffs for 120 yards in Monday's 25-24 win over the Commanders.

Though Duvernay has been active for every game this season, his role has been contained exclusively to special teams. He has yet to log a snap on offense through five contests and is averaging 25.0 yards per kickoff return and 11.4 yards per punt return.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Returning to Chicago

The Bears signed Duvernay to the active roster Thursday.

Duvernay is back with the Bears one day after being released by the team. The 2020 third-rounder is expected to play a larger role on special teams as a returner than he is on offense. He logged 351 yards on kick returns and 167 yards on punt returns across 13 regular-season games with the Jaguars in 2024, but he recorded only 11 catches (on 16 targets) for 79 yards that season.

  • Devin Duvernay: Released by Chicago

Duvernay was released by the Bears on Wednesday.

The wide receiver signed a one-year deal with Chicago in March but ended up falling short of the 53-man roster in a crowded receiver room led by DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden. Duvernay has just 15 catches for 97 yards over the last two regular seasons with the Jaguars and Ravens, and he last caught an NFL touchdown in 2022 with Baltimore. Now, the 2020 third-round pick of the Ravens will look for his next opportunity.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Suffers pregame injury

Duvernay (undisclosed) suffered a pregame injury before Sunday's 38-0 preseason win over the Bills, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Duvernay did not appear in the contest after sustaining an undisclosed injury before kickoff. The wide receiver will have a shorter turnaround before Friday's preseason finale with the Chiefs, so his status will be worth monitoring at practice.

  • Bears' Devin Duvernay: Finds home in Chicago

Duvernay agreed to terms Wednesday with the Bears on a one-year contract, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.

Duvernay joins Chicago as a return specialist who's capable of filling a depth role at wide receiver behind DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and Olamide Zaccheaus. He suited up for 13 games with Jacksonville in 2024 but was cut by the team early March in order to clear up cap space. Duvernay is unlikely to emerge as a significant contributor on offense for Chicago and therefore holds little fantasy value, aside from unique formats that place a premium on return yardage.

  • Devin Duvernay: To be cut loose by the Jags

Duvernay will be released by the Jaguars, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The wide receiver finished 2024 with 11 catches for 79 yards and no touchdowns in 13 games, though he also contributed 351 kickoff-return yards and 167 punt-return yards. Duvernay, a two-time Pro Bowl return man, signed a two-year deal with the Jaguars last March after playing out his rookie contract with the Ravens, but he was caught in a series of cost-cutting moves by Jacksonville as it tries to clear cap space going into the new league year.
