Greiner's contract was selected by the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Greiner joined the Diamondbacks on a minor-league deal in mid-March, and he slashed .351/.429/.514 with a home run, five RBI and four runs over 10 games at Triple-A Reno. He'll provide depth behind the dish for the major-league club after Jose Herrera (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list.
