Lockett was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old was designated for assignment by the Mets on Friday. Lockett has made just two appearances (one start) in 2020, amassing a 5.63 ERA over eight innings. Since he doesn't have any minor-league options remaining, Lockett will be added to the Mariners' 28-man active roster, likely working out of the bullpen.
