  • Connor Norby 2B | COL

Rockies' Connor Norby: Not in Sunday's lineup

Norby is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Detroit, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Norby started the previous four games and will receive a day off after going 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's contest, boosting his OPS in September to .793 through 10 contests. Adael Amador will shift to the keystone Sunday while Mickey Moniak serves as the DH, opening up right field for Troy Johnston.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Sitting again Sunday

Torres is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

It's the second straight game on the bench for Torres, who is batting .333 (9-for-27) with three walks, a double, one RBI and nine runs in his past seven contests. Hao-Yu Lee will man the keystone while Colt Keith handles third base, freeing up first base for Spencer Torkelson.

  • Nick Sogard 2B | BOS

Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Knocks two doubles in win

Sogard started at first base and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over Kansas City. He was also hit by a pitch and caught stealing.

Sogard, who made a fourth consecutive start at first base, got involved offensively late in the game. He doubled and scored in the seventh inning and then knocked in Boston's final run with an eighth-inning double. Sogard and Mickey Gasper have been filling in for the injured Willson Contreras (hamstring) at first base.

  • Connor Norby 2B | COL

Rockies' Connor Norby: Continues to hit well

Norby went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored Saturday against the Tigers.

Norby continues to play a prominent role in the Rockies' lineup, particularly against lefties. He's hit second in the order in six consecutive games against southpaws, and he's hit well overall since the start of September. Across 10 games, he's maintained a .273 average with a 10.5 percent walk rate, one home run, two RBI and six runs scored.

  • Red Sox's Anthony Seigler: Suffers wrist injury Saturday

Seigler was removed from Saturday's game after experiencing pain in his right wrist following a swing, MLB.com reports. He hurt the wrist in the fourth inning and was eventually removed in the seventh.

Seigler, who was called up to Boston on Friday as a replacement for Eli White (foot), started at second base before departing. He was replaced by Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Seigler underwent further testing and evaluation following the game.

  • Pedro Ramirez 2B | CHC

Cubs' Pedro Ramirez: Doubles, homers in win

Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Pirates.

Ramirez scored two runs for the second straight game and also tallied his first multi-hit performance of the month. The rookie infielder is batting just .161 through 31 September at-bats, and it seems like he could be starting to hit a wall in what's been a strong debut overall. Ramirez should continue to see regular time at second base in the short term, but the return of shortstop Dansby Swanson (oblique) from the injured list next week will shift Nico Hoerner back to the keystone, which figures to send Ramirez to the bench most days.

  • Juan Brito 2B | CIN

Reds' Juan Brito: Socks second homer as Red

Brito went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 13-9 loss to Milwaukee.

Brito recorded his second three-hit effort and launched his second home run in a Cincinnati uniform. In the seven games since being added to the roster, he's gone 7-for-19 with a double, two homers and eight RBI. With news of Matt McLain experiencing soreness in his left shoulder and needing a few days off, Brito is a natural fill-in at second base.

  • Michael Arroyo 2B | SEA

Mariners' Michael Arroyo: Hits first career homer

Arroyo went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, three total RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 19-1 win over the Athletics.

Arroyo was in the lineup for just the second time since his Sept. 6 call-up. He went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts prior to his big game Saturday, which checked off a lot of firsts in his young career. He has yet to carve out a steady spot in the lineup, but that could change once the Mariners are officially eliminated from playoff contention.

  • Cole Young 2B | SEA

Mariners' Cole Young: Drives in five

Young went 3-for-6 with a two-run home run, three additional RBI and two total runs scored in Saturday's 19-1 win over the Athletics.

Young and Michael Arroyo were both in the lineup Saturday against southpaw Gage Jump. Young has retained a starting role at second base since Arroyo was called up. Through 11 games in September, Young is 13-for-39 (.333) with eight RBI. He's batting .250 with a .706 OPS, 17 homers, 65 RBI, 71 runs scored, 18 doubles, four triples and three stolen bases across 148 contests this season.

  • Hao Yu Lee 2B | DET

Tigers' Hao-Yu Lee: Drives in three runs Saturday

Lee went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, a walk, two runs and three RBI in an 11-7 win against the Rockies on Saturday.

Lee was one of three Tigers to log a trio of hits, and all three of those knocks went for extra bases. The infielder drove in a run with a double in the fourth inning and added a clutch two-run, two-out triple in the eighth. Lee was in need of a strong performance, as he'd gone 1-for-17 with nine strikeouts (albeit with six walks) over his previous six games. He's started three of Detroit's past five contests.
