Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

The left-handed-hitting Stott will retreat to the bench Wednesday while the Brewers send southpaw Jose Quintana to the hill. Edmundo Sosa will replace Stott at second base and will bat eighth.

Young is not in the Mariners' starting lineup against the Rays on Wednesday.

Young will be on the bench for beginning of Wednesday's game while Jorge Polanco shifts to the keystone, Cal Raleigh serves as the designated hitter and Mitch Garver gets the start behind home plate. Young struggled at the plate in August and has gone 1-for-25 over his last 10 games, which has lowered his season OPS to .639 across 240 plate appearances.

Estrada (quadriceps) was activated from the 7-day injured list at Double-A Chesapeake on Tuesday.

He missed a little under two weeks with a quad injury and went 2-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in his first game back. Estrada, who was promoted from High-A Aberdeen to Chesapeake on July 29, is slashing .310/.372/.563 with five home runs, four steals and a 14.1 percent strikeout rate in 19 games for the Baysox. The 20-year-old switch hitter has split time between second base and left field since getting to Double-A.

Schneemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Right-hander Dustin May is expected to cover the bulk of the innings for the Red Sox on Wednesday, but because lefty Brennan Bernardino is opening the game, the left-handed-hitting Schneemann will exit the lineup. Center fielder Angel Martinez will occupy Schneemann's usual spot in the two hole, but Schneemann or fellow left-handed hitter Nolan Jones could replace Martinez once May takes over for Boston.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

After manning the keystone in each of the last three contests, Rojas will give way to Alex Freeland at second base Wednesday. Though Hyeseong Kim has yet to make a start in either of the Dodgers' two games since he was activated from the injured list Monday, his presence provides a potential roadblock to Rojas handling a full-time role in the Los Angeles infield.

Kim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

After being reinstated from the injured list Monday, Kim has now been left out of the starting nine for the first two games of the Dodgers' series in Pittsburgh, with both of the left-handed-hitting rookie's absences coming against right-handed starters. The Dodgers will instead go with Alex Call in left field, Alex Freeland at second base and Enrique Hernandez at third base Wednesday.

Lawlar is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rangers.

Lawlar snapped a 0-for-36 hitless streak at the major-league level with a couple base knocks in Tuesday's win over the Rangers, but he finds himself absent from the lineup a day later. Blaze Alexander will occupy third base and bat sixth for the Diamondbacks.

Schmitt (elbow) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rockies.

The 26-year-old infielder wasn't in the starting lineup Tuesday after being hit by a pitch Monday and sustaining an elbow injury, though his X-rays came back negative. However, after Matt Chapman and Willy Adames were ejected following a scuffle in the first inning, Schmitt stepped in at second base. He lined a solo shot to left-center field in the fifth inning and added a single in the ninth. With that, he recorded his fifth multi-hit performance over 26 games since Aug. 1, slashing .240/.305/.458 with 15 RBI, 11 runs scored, six doubles and five long balls across 105 plate appearances during that span.

The Cardinals are unlikely to promote Wetherholt from Triple-A Memphis this season, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Wetherholt has established himself as one of the best prospects in baseball, having slashed .312/.424/.523 with 16 home runs, 21 stolen bases and a 66:65 K:BB over 99 games between Double-A Springfield and Memphis. While the 22-year-old looks ready to be challenged in the majors, Goold notes that the driving factor in keeping Wetherholt at Memphis is that he does not need to be added to the 40-man roster this offseason in order to be protected from the Rule 5 Draft, and the Cardinals want to reserve those spots for players that are Rule 5 eligible. Even without a cup of coffee in the big leagues in 2025, Wetherholt still stands a chance of cracking the Opening Day roster in 2026. Wetherholt has mostly played shortstop in the minors, but he's also seen time at second and third base, and with Masyn Winn holding down shortstop for the Cardinals, Wetherholt's future is likely either at the keystone or the hot corner.

Voit went 3-for-3 with two walks, a home run, three RBI, four runs scored and four stolen bases for Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday.

The 38th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft is getting his first taste of pro ball, and he's already making a big impact with his legs. Tuesday's homer was his first with St. Lucie, but he's gone 15-for-15 in steal attempts. The Michigan product is batting just .219 so far, but he already seems to be making adjustments -- after going 7-for-42 (.167) through his first 11 games, he's banged out nine hits in 31 at-bats (.290 batting average) across his last eight contests, including all three of his extra-base hits.
