Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Rangers' Joc Pederson: Heading to injured list
Texas placed Pederson (hand) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to Sept. 19.
The veteran left-handed-hitting Pederson will head to the 10-day IL, effectively ending his regular season. Pederson has not played since Sept. 12 because of soreness in his fractured left hand. If the 34-year-old indeed misses the remainder of the regular season, he will end his 2026 campaign holding a slash line of .235/.329/.487 with 26 homers and 53 RBI over 431 plate appearances. Pederson could return for the playoffs is Texas is able to qualify.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Rangers' Joc Pederson: Sitting again Tuesday
Pederson (hand) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.
According to Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com, the veteran slugger hit off a tee Tuesday afternoon and is scheduled to do so again pregame. Pederson continues to deal with soreness in his fractured left hand and has some more hurdles to clear before returning to game action. He likely would have been on the bench Tuesday regardless of the injury since lefty Sean Manaea is starting for New York.

Bryce Eldridge DH | SF
Giants' Bryce Eldridge: Likely done for season
Eldridge was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Monday, retroactive to Friday.
Eldridge entered concussion protocol Sunday after hitting his head while at the team hotel. Manager Tony Vitello noted before Monday's game against the Twins that he doesn't expect to see Eldridge play down the stretch of the 2026 campaign.

Tigers' Jace Jung: Officially recalled from Toledo
The Tigers recalled Jung from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
He's netting the roster spot vacated by the injured Colt Keith (thumb). The Tigers will recall Jung from Triple-A Toledo prior to Monday's game versus the Nationals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Andrew Benintendi DH | CHW
White Sox's Andrew Benintendi: Enduring tough September
Benintendi went 0-for-2 on Sunday against the Tigers.
Benintendi grounded out and struck out before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the fourth inning. The performance prolonged his sluggish September, as he now has hit .105 with three doubles, two RBI and six runs scored across 16 games. Benintendi also hasn't been in the lineup since July 22 against a lefty, making it difficult to trust him for volume or quality performance down the stretch.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Twins' Josh Bell: Strong showing in Sunday's win
Bell went 3-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 8-0 win over the Angels.
Bell logged an RBI single in each of the third and fifth innings as part of a three-hit effort. The veteran is in the midst of a modest five-game hitting streak and is hitting .297/.361/.453 with three homers, eight RBI and eight runs in 17 September contests. Overall, Bell is slashing .258/.320/.421 with 20 homers, 91 RBI, 76 runs and two stolen bases across 149 games.

Ivan Herrera DH | STL
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Second multi-homer game of 2026
Herrera went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Sunday in a 5-3 win over Washington.
It was Herrera's third career multi-homer game and second of the season. The catcher had gone hitless in five straight starts prior to his current three-game hitting streak, picking up six knocks during that latter stretch. Through 692 plate appearances, he's slashing .247/.358/.388 with 18 homers, 68 RBI, eight stolen bases and 95 runs scored.

Michael Conforto DH | CHC
Cubs' Michael Conforto: Goes deep in comfortable win
Conforto went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Reds.
Getting a chance to serve as the DH Sunday, Conforto took Cincinnati reliever Carson Spiers deep in the fifth inning for his 15th home run of the season. That's an impressive total for the veteran outfielder, who has largely served as a reserve for the Cubs this year and has has seen 253 at-bats across 108 games, down from 418 at-bats in 138 games for the Dodgers last regular season. Conforto should be a key bench option for Chicago in the postseason as an experienced hitter who's capable of delivering in big spots.
