Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Perfect at plate in win

Langford went 2-for-2 with three walks, one RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 7-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Langford was patient at the plate, scoring after drawing a walk and stealing second in the second inning before driving in a run on a bases-loaded walk in the sixth. It was a needed performance for the 24-year-old, who entered the game hitting just .153 over 15 September contests. On the year, he's slashing .242/.336/.435 with 17 homers, 41 RBI, 62 runs scored and 14 stolen bases across 438 plate appearances.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Dealing with bruised shoulder

Peters was diagnosed with a left shoulder/rib contusion following his exit from Friday's game against Detroit.

Peters was pulled from the game in the fifth inning after crashing into the outfield wall, and although he initially appeared at risk of having suffered a head injury, most of the damage was instead done to his upper torso. The White Sox are considering him day-to-day for now, and Brenton Doyle would be the favorite to start in center field if Peters is unable to play Saturday.

  • Roman Anthony LF | BOS

Red Sox's Roman Anthony: Drives in three runs vs. Tampa Bay

Anthony went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a two-run single during the Red Sox's 4-2 win over the Rays on Friday.

Anthony was responsible for all but one of the Red Sox's runs in Friday's win, with the 22-year-old slugger getting Boston on the board with a solo homer off Ian Seymour in the first inning. It was the first time this season that Anthony recorded three RBI in a game. He has a .709 OPS with two steals, five home runs and 14 RBI across 215 plate appearances this season.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Exits with injury

Peters was removed from Friday's game against the Tigers with an apparent head injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Peters was taken out of the game immediately after crashing into the wall while chasing down a flyball in the fifth inning. The White Sox will presumably evaluate him for a concussion, and an update on his health should come in the near future.

  • Kyren Paris LF | LAA

Angels' Kyren Paris: Placed on injured list

The Angels placed Paris on the 10-day injured list Friday with a fractured right index finger, retroactive to Tuesday

Paris said Friday that he injured himself while fielding grounders before Thursday's game, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. The 24-year-old is expected to need 3-to-4 weeks to recover, which rules him out for the rest of the season but leaves him plenty of time to be ready for 2027. Bryce Teodosio was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to replenish the Halos' bench depth.

  • Bryce Teodosio LF | LAA

Angels' Bryce Teodosio: Promoted to Angels

The Angels recalled Teodosio from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Teodosio will rejoin the big-league club for the first time since being demoted Aug. 28. With Salt Lake this season, the 27-year-old has slashed .249/.324/.400 with eight homers, 32 RBI and 27 stolen bases in 298 plate appearances. Teodosio replaces Kyren Paris (finger), who was sent to the 10-day injured list.

  • Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Scheduled for rehab outing Friday

Santander (shoulder/back) is scheduled to play in the outfield for Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Santander was briefly shut down due to lower-back soreness, but he's been cleared to return to action Friday and is expected to play 5-to-7 innings. He's on track to play a full game in the outfield Sunday, and there's a chance that he plays for the Blue Jays before the 2026 regular season concludes.

  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Going on 10-day injured list

The Yankees are expected to place Judge on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a right calf strain, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Judge picked up the injury during Wednesday's game against the Twins, and the superstar slugger will likely be sidelined for the rest of the regular season. It will be the second stint on the IL this year for Judge, and it's unclear whether his current injury will impact his availability for the start of the AL playoffs. Heliot Ramos should see more work in right field in Judge's absence, and while a corresponding move won't be announced until Saturday, Jasson Dominguez figures to be the top candidate to get a promotion from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Nursing hand injury

Caglianone is not in Friday's starting lineup against the Pirates due to a hand injury, Joel Goldberg of Royals.tv reports.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro told reporters Friday that Caglianone's hand injury occurred during a practice at-bat. The 23-year-old outfielder can be considered day-to-day for now and could be back in the lineup for Saturday's contest. Nick Loftin will start in right field in Caglianone's absence.

  • Alan Roden RF | MIN

Twins' Alan Roden: Summoned from Triple-A

The Twins recalled Roden from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

With Trevor Larnach (wrist) placed on the injured list, Roden figures to close out the 2026 season with the big club. He's appeared in 28 games with the Twins this season and has slashed .254/.333/.313 with four doubles, 10 RBI, six runs scored and a 9:11 BB:K across 79 plate appearances. Roden has posted an .853 OPS with St. Paul.
