  • Joshua Lowe LF | LAA

Angels' Josh Lowe: Picks up steal

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Twins.

Lowe doubled and swiped a bag in the ninth inning, but the Angels weren't able to manufacture a walk-off win in that frame. After hitting safely in four of his last five games, the outfielder is now batting .212 with a .646 OPS, 10 steals, 12 home runs, 29 RBI, 28 runs scored and nine doubles across 319 plate appearances this season.

  • Brenton Doyle CF | CHW

White Sox's Brenton Doyle: Notches steal in win

Doyle went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Doyle has gone 5-for-11 over his last three games and has benefited from the White Sox facing three straight southpaws. He's been mostly limited to a short-side platoon role since he was flipped from Colorado to Chicago at the trade deadline. Doyle is batting .226 with a .590 OPS, three home runs, 12 RBI, 28 runs scored, six doubles, one triple and 14 steals over 79 contests between the two clubs this season.

  • Jake Meyers CF | HOU

Astros' Jake Meyers: Done for year with knee injury

Meyers suffered a season-ending left kneecap injury last week with Triple-A Sugar Land, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Meyers fouled a ball off his left kneecap Sept. 11 and was placed on the 7-day injured list the following day. After appearing in 100-plus regular-season games with the Astros the previous three years, Meyers spent the 2026 season split between the big leagues and minors. He slashed just .213/.268/.326 with three home runs, 11 RBI, 15 runs scored, one stolen base and a 10:31 BB:K across 153 plate appearances for Houston. Meyers didn't fare much better at Triple-A, posting a .231 average and .639 OPS in 143 trips to the plate.

  • Trevor Larnach LF | MIN

Twins' Trevor Larnach: Remains out of lineup

Larnach (wrist) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Angels.

The 29-year-old has been dealing with left wrist soreness all week and hasn't seen the field since Sunday, but his status could be updated soon after undergoing an MRI. While he remains out, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Walker Jenkins and Luke Keaschall are starting in the outfield Thursday for Minnesota.

  • Joey Loperfido LF | HOU

Astros' Joey Loperfido: Sent back to minors

The Astros optioned Loperfido to Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Loperfido struck out during his lone at-bat after being called up from Triple-A on Tuesday, and he'll now head back to Sugar Land with Taylor Trammell returning from the paternity list.

  • Astros' Taylor Trammell: Back with team

The Astros reinstated Trammell from the paternity list Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

After spending a couple of days away from the team while welcoming a new addition to his family, Trammell will return for the final game of Houston's series against Kansas City. Joey Loperfido was sent down to Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move.

  • Red Sox's Ceddanne Rafaela: Working out at Worcester

Rafaela (quadriceps) is with Triple-A Worcester on Thursday and will do some hitting off their Trajekt machine, Tommy Cassell of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports.

It's unclear what the next steps for Rafaela will be, but he could play in some rehab games for Worcester before rejoining Boston's active roster. The center fielder has not played in more than two weeks as he works his way back from a right quadriceps strain.

  • Orioles' Enrique Bradfield: Nursing injury at Triple-A

Bradfield will be held out of the lineup at Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday due to right adductor tightness, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

He's being considered day-to-day, but at this stage of the season there's a good chance the injury ends Bradfield's season. If that's the case, he'll finish with a .265/.350/.353 batting line, three home runs and 33 stolen bases over 85 games with Norfolk.

  • Rays' Cedric Mullins: Idle against left-hander

Mullins is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With lefty Jeffrey Springs toeing the rubber for the Athletics, the left-handed-hitting Mullins will take a seat for the series finale. Jonny DeLuca will replace Mullins in center field and will bat fifth.

  • Austin Overn CF | TB

Rays' Austin Overn: Finishes season on IL

Overn didn't make any appearances for Double-A Montgomery after Aug. 4 due to an unspecified injury.

The 23-year-old outfielder endured an injury-plagued 2026 campaign, hitting the shelf on three different occasions. He was productive when available, however, slashing .309/.395/.565 with 15 home runs and 48 stolen bases across 282 plate appearances for Montgomery.
