  • Bo Davidson RF | SF

Giants' Bo Davidson: Exits early Wednesday

Davidson was removed from Wednesday's game against the Twins with a foot injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Davidson remained in the game for a while after fouling a ball off his foot in the sixth inning, but he was eventually replaced in the outfield when the Giants' defense took the field in the ninth. X-rays on his foot came back negative shortly after the game, per Pavlovic, but Scott Bandura and Grant McCray could be candidates to start in right field if Davidson is unable to play in Friday's series opener against the Dodgers.

  • Luis Lara RF | MIL

Brewers' Luis Lara: Exiting starting lineup

Lara is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Philadelphia.

  • Braves' Ronald Acuna: Held out of Atlanta lineup

Acuna (leg) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Acuna was removed from Tuesday's contest after fouling a ball off his left leg. X-rays were negative and Acuna informed the club that he was fine to play Wednesday, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com. However, with the National League East already wrapped up, Atlanta will rest its star outfielder for a day just to be safe. Brewer Hicklen will cover right field Wednesday in Acuna's stead.

Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Exiting lineup versus lefty

Cruz is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Cardinals.

He has hit only .170 across 53 at-bats for the month while striking out 38.2 percent of the time, and a slow second half has dropped his overall batting average to .242 on the season. Nevertheless, Moniak is one long ball away from matching his career high.

  • Braves' Michael Harris: Swipes 12th bag

Harris went 2-for-4 with a stolen base during Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Reds.
