Wyatt Langford LF | TEX
Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Sitting Wednesday
Langford isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Nathan Lukes RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Idle against southpaw
Lukes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.
Lukes had started in the Blue Jays' last two games, but the left-handed-hitting outfielder will get a break Wednesday while the Red Sox send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the bump. Brett Bateman will cover right field in place of Lukes.

Ronny Simon RF | PIT
Pirates' Ronny Simon: Handling regular role
Simon will start at designated hitter and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
Since being called up from Triple-A Indianapolis a week ago, the switch-hitting Simon appears to have taken hold of a spot in the Pirates' everyday lineup. He'll pick up his sixth consecutive start Wednesday after going 6-for-19 with a a double, a walk, a stolen base, three runs and two RBI in the prior five games. Simon could soon be in danger of a role reduction, however, as the Pirates appear likely to get center fielder Oneil Cruz (hand) back from the injured list either later this week or early next week.

Tyrone Taylor LF | CHC
Cubs' Tyrone Taylor: Making another start for new team
Taylor will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Acquired from the Mets on Aug. 3, Taylor reported to the Cubs a day later and has been included in the lineup for five of the team's ensuing eight games. Only two of those five starts have come against right-handed pitching, but Taylor at least looks like he'll be a regular presence in the lineup versus lefties.
-
Ian Happ LF | CHC
Cubs' Ian Happ: Receiving evening off
Happ is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
Happ, who turned 32 on Wednesday, will end up getting the night off for his birthday. Tyrone Taylor will pick up the start in left field in place of Happ, who had been included in the lineup in each of the past six games while going 6-for-24 with two home runs, one double, two walks, three RBI and four runs.

Corey Julks RF | DET
Tigers' Corey Julks: Added to major-league roster
The Tigers selected Julks' contract from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.
He's taking the roster spot vacated by the injured Riley Greene (hamstring) and will start in right field and bat ninth in Wednesday's game versus the Guardians. Julks has slashed .273/.347/.453 with 15 home runs in 86 games this season with Toledo. The right-handed-hitting Julks could see regular reps against lefties as the Tigers navigate multiple injuries in their outfield.

Riley Greene LF | DET
Tigers' Riley Greene: Lands on IL with hamstring strain
The Tigers placed Greene on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a right hamstring strain.
Greene sustained the injury in the second inning of the Tigers' 6-4 win over the Guardians on Tuesday, either when he was hit on his right leg by a pitch or when he was running the bases shortly thereafter. The Tigers may not know the extent of Greene's injury until he undergoes an MRI, but the club will elect to hold him out for at least the next week and a half. Detroit called up Corey Julks from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move, and the Tigers will likely lean on a combination of Julks, Ben Malgeri and James Outman to fill in in left field while Greene is on the mend.
