Blalock (2-6) allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one over 3.2 innings to take the loss Thursday versus the Mariners.

Blalock gave up at least five runs in each of his last six appearances over a pair of stints in the majors. He ends the regular season with a 9.36 ERA, 1.84 WHIP and 27:23 K:BB through 58.2 innings over 14 appearances (12 starts) in the majors. As long as he's pitching for the Rockies, he's unlikely to put up serviceable numbers for fantasy managers.

Imanaga (9-8) allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over 5.2 innings to take the loss Thursday versus the Mets.

Imanaga had one of his worst starts of the year in his regular-season finale. He had not given up more than three earned runs in any of his last 10 starts, pitching to a decent 3.69 ERA over 61 innings in that span. The southpaw ends the regular season at a 3.73 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 117:26 K:BB across 144.2 innings through 25 starts. Imanaga will likely get a start during the Cubs' wild-card series, as he will be on regular rest as of Tuesday.

McLean (5-1) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 11 over 5.1 innings to earn the win Thursday over the Cubs.

This was the worst of McLean's eight major-league outings so far, but he was able to snap a three-start winless stretch. Seiya Suzuki had two home runs and Dansby Swanson also went yard, with those three long balls accounting for all of the season-high five runs on McLean's line in his first start allowing multiple homers. The 11 strikeouts also represented a season high for a single game across all levels. The rookie right-hander ends the regular season with a 2.06 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 57:16 K:BB through 48 innings over eight starts in the majors. Should the Mets qualify for the last National League wild-card spot, McLean is projected to take the hill for a start.

Yamamoto (12-8) earned the win against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out seven across six scoreless innings.

Yamamoto walked six batters in his last start against the Giants on Sept. 18. He was in more control in Thursday's win with just two free passes and finished his outing strong by retiring seven of the last eight batters he faced. Yamamoto yielded one run or zero while logging at least seven strikeouts in each of his last five starts, and he'll end the regular season with a 2.49 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 201:59 K:BB across 173.2 innings. His efforts helped the Dodgers clinch the NL West and he will headline the team's rotation heading into the postseason.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Thursday that Horton (back) is a go and on track, but there are "areas of concern" in Horton's rib area from the MRI he had Wednesday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

The Cubs and Horton will continue to get information and have more doctors look at the MRI, but no more tests will be run. The right-hander was pulled from Tuesday's start versus the Mets due to back tightness, but now it appears that the main concern is with his ribs. It is expected that he will throw Friday after taking the prior two days off. If the rookie remains on track, he should be able to start in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series on Sept. 30.

Lodolo was pulled from Thursday's start versus the Pirates in the seventh inning due to a right groin injury.

The Reds are calling the exit precautionary, suggesting Lodolo would have a chance to be ready for a postseason start next week, should his team qualify. If it was the lefty's final start of the season, he went out on a high note, fanning 12 batters while permitting only two hits and one walk over 6.1 scoreless innings. The stellar performance lowered Lodolo's season ERA to 3.30.

Lodolo was removed from Thursday's start against the Pirates in the seventh inning with an apparent injury, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Lodolo was visited by the trainer after striking out Andrew McCutchen to lead off the top of the seventh inning and eventually walked off the field. It's unclear what happened, but blisters have been an issue for Lodolo in the past, so it's possible another one popped up. The Reds should have more on his condition shortly. Lodolo was dominant before being removed, striking out 12 while yielding just two hits and one walk over 6.1 scoreless frames.

Gallen's next start was pushed back a day to Friday in San Diego due to fatigue/illness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

It was Gallen's turn Thursday versus the Dodgers, but he's dealt with an illness during his last two starts that's sapped his strength. His performance in those outings appeared unaffected, as the righty yielded four runs with a 15:3 K:BB over 13 innings, but the Diamondbacks nonetheless made the decision to give Gallen an extra day of rest. Jalen Beeks is opening and Nabil Crismatt is slated for bulk relief Thursday.

Sale will be used as a bulk reliever in Sunday's game against the Pirates, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Atlanta will use Charlie Morton as an opener in his final career appearance before Sale takes over. It will be the first relief outing for Sale since he closed out the 2018 World Series as a member of the Red Sox. While it will be unconventional usage for the lefty, Sale will have a better chance to pick up a win as a bulk reliever, and he should be available for a typical starter's workload.

Morton will serve as Atlanta's opening pitcher in Sunday's game versus the Pirates, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Morton is slated to retire after the season, but first he'll be given a send-off in the final game of the regular season with the team that drafted him and where he spent five major-league seasons. Chris Sale will follow Morton in a bulk-relief role Sunday.
