  • Giants' Rafael Devers: Launches another homer Saturday

Devers went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-6 loss to San Diego.

After hitting a grand slam in Friday's loss to the Padres, the veteran infielder launched a two-run homer off Michael King in the first inning. Devers has racked up eight home runs over his last 11 games, slashing .341/.471/1.024 with 20 RBI and 11 runs scored in 51 plate appearances during that span. On the campaign, he's slashing .258/.340/.525 with 98 RBI, 88 runs scored and 37 long balls across 633 plate appearances.

  • Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: DFA'd by Arizona

The Diamondbacks designated Gurriel for assignment Sunday.

The veteran slugger has started just three games since being reinstated from the injured list at the start of September, and Arizona has now elected to remove him from the 28-man and 40-man rosters. Gurriel has a .544 OPS with two homers in 201 plate appearances this season, which is the final guaranteed year of his contract. He has a $14 million club option with a $5 million buyout for 2027, which will likely guarantee that he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Mets' Marcus Semien: On bench Sunday

Semien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The veteran second baseman started the previous nine games and will take a seat Sunday after posting a .242/.333/.333 slash line during that stretch. Brett Baty (knee) is returning from a two-game absence to man the keystone while Nick Morabito picks up a start in left field.

  • Jordan Walker RF | STL

Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Back in action Sunday

Walker (ankle) is starting in right field and batting cleanup Sunday against the White Sox.

The 24-year-old outfielder was held out of the lineup Saturday after exiting Friday's contest due to an ankle issue, but he's good to go for the series finale versus Chicago. Walker has been scuffling at the plate over his past seven games, going 3-for-23 with two walks, a double and eight strikeouts.

  • Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL

Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Out of Sunday's lineup

Tovar is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Tovar started the previous three contests and will hit the bench Sunday after going 3-for-8 with a walk, a solo homer and two additional runs scored during that span. Cole Carrigg will play shortstop in the series finale.

  • Connor Norby 2B | COL

Rockies' Connor Norby: Not in Sunday's lineup

Norby is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Detroit, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Norby started the previous four games and will receive a day off after going 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's contest, boosting his OPS in September to .793 through 10 contests. Adael Amador will shift to the keystone Sunday while Mickey Moniak serves as the DH, opening up right field for Troy Johnston.

  • Kyle Karros 3B | COL

Rockies' Kyle Karros: Taking seat Sunday

Karros is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Karros started the past five games after returning from a concussion Tuesday, going 3-for-19 with a triple and a solo homer, and he'll get a breather Sunday. Vimael Machin will step in at the hot corner and bat seventh for the Rockies in the series finale.

  • Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Sitting amid slump

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Goodman will take a seat Sunday after starting the previous five games as he continues to struggle offensively with a .122/.200/.286 slash line across his past 13 contests. Brett Sullivan is working behind the plate and batting eighth in the series finale for Colorado.

  • Brett Baty 3B | NYM

Mets' Brett Baty: Back in lineup Sunday

Baty (knee) is starting at second base and batting eighth in Sunday's series finale against the Yankees.

Baty was out of the Mets' lineup the last two games while working through a left knee injury, but he's been cleared to play in Sunday's matinee. He recorded a hit in each of his last six games prior to his injury, going 6-for-14 with two home runs, 10 RBI and two doubles in that span.

  • Joe Jimenez RP | ATL

Braves' Joe Jimenez: Tosses another bullpen

Jimenez (knee) faced five hitters in a simulated bullpen session Friday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Jimenez is in the final stages of his recovery from multiple surgeries on his left knee, and he hasn't pitched in a game at any level since the end of the 2024 season. The next step for the veteran right-hander is to pitch in an instructional league game, since minor-league seasons are coming to an end. Jimenez is unlikely to pitch for Atlanta this season, but he is trending toward being available for the start of spring training.
