Lakers' Stanley Johnson: Makes season debut

Johnson made his Lakers debut and played 27 minutes in Saturday's 122-115 loss to the Nets, finishing with seven points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal.

This was Johnson's season debut at the NBA level, as he wasn't available to suit up for the Bulls after signing a 10-day deal earlier this month due to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. He cleared the protocols shortly after that deal expired and quickly linked up with the Lakers on another 10-day deal while they battle their own depth issues. The Lakers should at least return Avery Bradley (conditioning) for their next game Tuesday in Houston, so Johnson will be a prime candidate to see a reduction in playing time.
