Horton-Tucker notched 28 points (9-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 121-103 loss to the Bulls.

The Lakers were thoroughly outplayed in the loss, but Horton-Tucker was certainly a bright spot. The 20-year-old's point total was a career high, as was his four three-pointers and six free-throws. Horton-Tucker missed the Lakers' first 13 games while recovering from thumb surgery, but he has looked outstanding in his first two contests, averaging 22.5 points and 5.0 boards. His playing time will likely shrink when LeBron James (abdomen) returns to the court, and it's going to be tough to get shots on a frequent basis playing alongside James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony, but Horton-Tucker has already shown that he is capable of making tangible contributions even on a star-studded squad.
