McDaniels (rest) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Bulls, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
McDaniels will join several other key Timberwolves players on the inactive list Friday. However, he should be good to go by Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Heat.
