Kuminga (rest) won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Bulls, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
Kuminga will join several other key contributors on the inactive list in Minnesota's preseason finale. He should be able to play in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Heat.
