Brate is expected to make his second straight start Sunday against the Dolphins with top tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) ruled out for the contest.
While Gronkowski's cracked ribs and punctured lung prevented him from playing in the Week 4 win over New England, Brate drew the start and played 64 percent of the offensive snaps. Meanwhile, fellow tight end O.J. Howard (68 percent) saw more field time, but he was deployed mostly as a blocker, running only 16 routes and drawing one target to Brate's 33 and six, respectively. Even if the playing-time split between Brate and Howard remains relatively equitable again Week 5, the former profiles as the more fantasy-friendly option.
