Patriots' Deatrich Wise: Placed on PUP list

New England placed Wise on its Physically Unable to Perform list with an ankle injury, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Wise was unable to participate in the Patriots' offseason program while wearing a walking boot. When healthy, the 24-year-old is expected to contribute heavily to New England's defensive front unless third-round pick Chase Winovich can eat into his snaps.
