Ravens' Terrell Suggs: Suffers second torn biceps of career

Suggs suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's loss to the Giants, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
Suggs previously tore his biceps during the 2012 offseason, but he returned to action much faster than expected, playing the final eight weeks of the season and all the way through a Super Bowl run. He may try to avoid surgery this time around, as it's possible to play through a torn biceps, whereas the procedure to repair it would be season-ending. As a 34-year-old who suffered a Achilles tear in Week 1 last year, Suggs will probably do whatever he can to avoid a second consecutive lost campaign, even if he knows the injury will sap his effectiveness. He's been shockingly effective for a 14-year veteran one year removed from major surgery, piling up five sacks through six games while gradually increasing his snap share back to its pre-injury level of around 80 percent.
