Redskins' Mark Sanchez: Signing with Washington

Sanchez signed a contract with the Redskins on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

In the wake of Alex Smith's season-ending leg injury, Washington brought in a number of quarterbacks for a workout Monday and evidently settled on Sanchez as the new No. 2 quarterback behind Colt McCoy. The Redskins likely hope he won't see the field.
