Avalanche's Pavel Francouz: Sent on conditioning assignment

Francouz (ankle) has been sent to AHL Colorado on a long-term conditioning assignment.

Francouz hasn't appeared in a regular-season contest with the Avalanche in over a year due to lower body and ankle injuries, so he'll likely get a lengthy run with AHL Colorado before presumably returning to the big club to compete with Jonas Johansson for playing time behind No. 1 goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
