Coach DJ Smith doesn't expect Pinto, who underwent surgery to address an upper-body injury in late November, to return to action this season, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Pinto will presumably finish the year with one assist through five top-level appearances. The 21-year-old forward will try to carve out a regular role with the Senators during next season's training camp.
