Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Can't meet challenge
Saros stopped 33 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Saros' three-game winning streak was snapped with this effort. The Hurricanes were working their system well and directed a lot of pucks on net, and Saros was unable to keep up in the third period. The netminder is now 12-11-3 with a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 26 appearances. He's been trending in the right direction lately, but fantasy managers may want to stay selective with when to put him in their lineups. The Predators have a back-to-back coming up this weekend, with home games versus the Maple Leafs on Saturday and the Rangers on Sunday.

Mike Reilly D | CAR
Hurricanes' Mike Reilly: Stuck in press box
Reilly was scratched for the ninth time in 11 games in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
This situation likely would have been the reality from the get-go for Reilly had the Hurricanes enjoyed better health on the blue line earlier in the year. Now that everyone, aside from Charles-Alexis Legault (hand), is healthy, Reilly is stuck in the press box most of the time as a seventh defenseman. The Hurricanes regularly have five veterans on defense, along with prized rookie Alexander Nikishin, so Reilly may be spending a lot of time waiting for his next opportunity if everyone stays healthy. Reilly has five points, 23 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 21 appearances this season.

Andrei Svechnikov RW | CAR
Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Contributes two assists in win
Svechnikov notched two assists, including one on the power play, added three shots on net and doled out two hits in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Svechnikov has six helpers over his last six games after assisting on both of Sebastian Aho's goals in this contest. The 25-year-old Svechnikov is stuck in a 12-game goal drought, but he's put up eight helpers and 32 shots on net in that span, so he's still doing the right things. The winger is up to 20 points (seven on the power play), 92 shots, 48 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-2 rating across 33 outings this season.

Seth Jarvis C | CAR
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Tallies in Wednesday's win
Jarvis scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Jarvis has been limited to three goals over his last five games, though that's still decent production. The 23-year-old forward is up to 19 goals, 27 points, 106 shots on net, 42 hits and a plus-1 rating across 33 appearances. With Sebastian Aho getting a three-point effort Wednesday, the engine of the Hurricanes' offense should be fired up again, and Jarvis should be in a good position as Aho's linemate to get back to dominant performances.

Jackson Blake RW | CAR
Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: One of each Wednesday
Blake scored a goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Blake's last two multi-point efforts have both come against Nashville, but he has been limited to just one assist in 11 outings against other opponents since Nov. 21. The 22-year-old opened the scoring Wednesday and added a primary helper on Sebastian Aho's power-play tally in the third period, which was the game-winner. For the season, Blake is at nine goals, 12 helpers, 74 shots on net, 24 PIM and a plus-3 rating across 33 outings. He's on pace to easily surpass the 34-point performance he had in 80 regular-season contests as a rookie last year.

Sebastian Aho LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Racks up three points in win
Aho scored twice on four shots, added an assist and logged two PIM in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Aho snapped a five-game point drought with this effort. He potted the eventual game-winner on the power play 2:43 into the third period, then set up a Seth Jarvis goal before adding an empty-netter himself. Aho is usually among the Hurricanes' most consistent forwards -- he rarely has a drought as long as his most recent one. None of his slumps in 2024-25 were longer than three games. The center is at 11 goals, 29 points (seven on the power play), 81 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-5 rating across 33 appearances.

Pyotr Kochetkov G | CAR
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Steady in win
Kochetkov stopped 25 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Predators.
Kochetkov has gone 2-1-0 with seven goals allowed on 66 shots over three games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old netminder never faced a deficit in this contest, but it was close until the Hurricanes' offense took charge early in the third period. Kochetkov is up to 6-1-0 on the year with a 1.95 GAA and a .913 save percentage over eight appearances. The Hurricanes have mostly been working with Kochetkov and Brandon Bussi over the last week. However, Frederik Andersen is around if either of the other two goalies sees a drop in performance. Kochetkov should be a candidate to start at least once in the team's upcoming back-to-back that features road games versus the Panthers on Friday and the Lightning on Saturday.

Justin Faulk D | STL
Blues' Justin Faulk: Nets lone goal in win
Faulk scored a goal and added two PIM in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Jets.
Faulk tallied at 13:17 of the second period, and that was all the support Joel Hofer needed to get the Blues a win. The 33-year-old Faulk has two goals and three assists over his last six outings, a productive stretch that was preceded by a six-game slump. For the season, the blueliner has generally been better than last year, racking up eight goals, 18 points, 63 shots on net, 70 blocked shots, 31 hits, 18 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 35 appearances.

Joel Hofer G | STL
Blues' Joel Hofer: Posts third shutout of season
Hofer stopped all 24 shots he faced in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Jets.
This was Hofer's second win in his last five outings. The 25-year-old made his third straight start Wednesday, and he'll only cede the crease to Jordan Binnington on Thursday versus the Rangers because it's the second half of a back-to-back. Hofer is up to 6-7-2 with a 2.96 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 19 appearances. It's safe to call the Blues' crease contested at this time, and it may be trending toward Hofer taking over the No. 1 job if he gets the nod for games Saturday versus the Panthers and Monday against the Lightning.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Gets no help in loss
Hellebuyck stopped 25 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Blues.
Hellebuyck did all he could to keep the game close, but the Jets' offense let him down. He's now 1-1-1 with five goals allowed on 82 shots over three games since returning from arthroscopic knee surgery. The 32-year-old netminder is at 9-7-1 on the year with a 2.36 GAA and a .918 save percentage in 17 appearances. Hellebuyck remains as steady as ever, but the Jets as a whole have taken a step back this year and may make it tough for him to reach the 30-win mark.
