  • Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Nets first goal of season

Lyubushkin scored a scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

The goal was Lyubushkin's first in four games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 31-year-old blueliner is likely to occupy a bottom-four role moving forward, where he'll offer physicality with limited scoring potential. The goal was his first of the campaign to go with five assists, 16 shots on net, 37 hits, 48 blocked shots and 21 PIM over 25 outings.

  • Adam Erne LW | DAL

Stars' Adam Erne: Scores in return

Erne scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Erne was able to chip in a goal late in the second period. The 30-year-old returned from an 18-game absence due to a lower-body injury and saw 11:25 of ice time. Erne may not be an everyday presence in the lineup, but he offers a physical angle that isn't present with many of the Stars' other forwards. He's earned three goals, one assist, 14 shots on net and 47 hits through 15 outings this season.

  • Oskar Back C | DAL

Stars' Oskar Back: Opens scoring shorthanded

Back scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Back scored for the second time in three games when he opened the scoring with a shortie 2:37 into the first period. This was his first career shorthanded goal. The 25-year-old forward is up to three goals, six points, 17 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 11 hits and a plus-6 rating over 26 appearances this season. Back is likely to remain a key part of the Stars' bottom six as a defensive forward, but he has minimal fantasy appeal due to a lack of offense.

  • Sam Steel C | DAL

Stars' Sam Steel: Lights lamp in win

Steel scored a goal in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Steel ended a six-game point drought with the tally. The 27-year-old's offense has declined lately -- he has just four points over his last 21 appearances. He's at five goals, 11 points, 39 shots, 35 hits, 18 PIM, 16 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 36 outings overall. Steel saw some top-six minutes earlier in the year, but he's currently centering the third line, which will likely keep his offense limited.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Earns one of each in big win

Harley scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, blocked three shots and went plus-5 in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Harley put together a masterful performance in this contest, with his first-period tally standing as the game-winner. The 24-year-old defenseman hadn't earned a multi-point outing since Oct. 11 versus the Avalanche, and he had just one helper over five contests prior to Friday. Harley is up to two goals, 13 points, 29 shots on net, 56 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 24 appearances. Regression and injuries have kept his production down in the first half, but Harley's role on a strong team should help him bounce back over the remainder of the campaign.

  • Roope Hintz LW | DAL

Stars' Roope Hintz: Another two-point effort

Hintz scored a goal and added an assist in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Hintz has logged back-to-back two-point games after going three contests without a point. The 29-year-old center is cruising in a top-six role, racking up 11 goals, 19 helpers, 71 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-13 rating over 31 outings this season. Hintz has found renewed success with Jason Robertson as a linemate this year after they were often split up in the latter half of 2024-25.

  • Stars' Jason Robertson: Collects three points in win

Robertson scored twice on four shots, dished an assist, added six PIM and went plus-2 in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

Robertson scored twice in the second period after helping out on a Roope Hintz tally in the first. The first of Robertson's goals came on the power play. He had gone three contests without a point entering Friday, which was his longest slump of the season. The winger is up to 22 goals, 43 points (19 on the power play), 139 shots on net, 24 hits and a plus-16 rating over 36 appearances in a top-six role.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Cruises to win

DeSmith stopped 22 of 25 shots in Friday's 8-3 win over the Ducks.

DeSmith picked up his third straight win, and he didn't have to work too hard for it. The Stars led 4-1 after one period and kept rolling in the second before easing up in the third. DeSmith is now 9-1-3 with a 2.20 GAA and a .920 save percentage over 13 appearances this season. He's been among the best backup netminders in the league this year, though his playing time has often been little more than once per week. Jake Oettinger is likely to get the nod Sunday at home versus the Maple Leafs.

  • Isaac Howard LW | EDM

Oilers' Isaac Howard: Three more helpers in win

Howard logged three assists in AHL Bakersfield's 5-4 overtime win over Coachella Valley on Friday.

Howard has a pair of three-point efforts over his last three games. He's settled into a decent groove for the Condors with 16 points through 13 appearances after losing his NHL roster spot back in November. The 21-year-old Howard should remain in contention for a call-up if he can keep putting up big numbers in the AHL.

  • Daniil But LW | UTA

Mammoth's Daniil But: Scores first goal

But scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Devils.

But has now picked up three points, all on the power play, over his last four games. His tally Friday, at 9:35 of the first period, was his first NHL goal, but he's already looking like he'll have some staying power with the big club. But is up to 20 shots on net, seven hits, four PIM and a plus-1 rating over his first 10 appearances.
