Missouri sports betting preview

Blues vs. Bruins

The St. Louis Blues rode the wave of Jim Montgomery's hiring last December to the Stanley Cup Playoffs they'll need to go on a similar run after a somewhat disappointing start in 2025-26. However, the Blues have managed back-to-back wins to improve to 11-12-7 on the season and moved up from 13th to 11th in the Western Conference standings.

They'll host the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night in St. Louis after losing 5-2 in Boston on Thursday. They'll once again play three games in four days this week thanks to the consolidated NHL schedule working around the Winter Olympics. Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis. Bet the Blues at DraftKings Sportsbook now:

Chiefs vs. Chargers

For the first time in the Andy Reid era, the Kansas City Chiefs (6-7) are under .500 in December and their nine-season streak of winning the AFC West is officially over after the Broncos improved to 11-2 on Sunday. Now they'll likely need to win out to preserve any chance of keeping their 10-year postseason streak alive.

The Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) come to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff and a loss combined with several other outcomes has the potential to mathematically eliminate Kansas City. However, with Justin Herbert playing with a surgically-repaired finger on his non-throwing hand, the Chiefs opened as 4.5-point home favorites while the over/under is 43.5. Bet NFL at FanDuel Sportsbook now:

Missouri vs. Alabama State

Dennis Gates led the Missouri Tigers to an 8-0 start on the season, but the schedule stiffened at the start of December and Missouri suffered back-to-back losses last week against Notre Dame and Kansas. The Tigers will have an opportunity to get right on Thursday when they host Alabama State (3-6) for an 8 p.m. ET tipoff.

Missouri is running out of opportunities to add meaningful non-conference wins to their resume, as Illinois is the only power conference opponent left on the schedule before SEC play begins. Braggin' Rights is scheduled for Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. ET in St. Louis and then the conference schedule brings defending national champions Florida to Colombia to open SEC play on Jan. 3. Bet college basketball at FanDuel Sportsbook now:
