Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz was encouraged following his bullpen session off a mound Tuesday, the Boston Herald reports. Buchholz threw 27 pitches and said it was "night and day" better than his last bullpen session weeks ago.
Buchholz remains at 60-65 percent, but he said he is happy with the progress that he has made. The starter has been out since June 8 and had a pristine 1.71 ERA over 12 starts.
