Mets third baseman David Wright went 1 or 3 with a three-run homer, two walks and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-2 victory over the Reds.
Wright continues to swing a hot bat after finally having an opportunity for extended playing time during what has been an injury-saddled 2015 campaign. The veteran third baseman has now hit safely in 11 of his last 12 contests, with five multi-hit efforts over that span and nine overall in September. He also has amassed 12 RBI during the month and assuming continued good health, appears poised to make solid contributions to the Mets during the postseason.
