Going into Game 4 of the World Series, the Red Sox were concerned about starting pitcher Clay Buchholz due to shoulder stiffness, but the seven-year veteran acknowledged after Sunday's start that he was grappling with an even bigger health issue. Buchholz told the Boston Herald that his lat muscle was also bothering him, saying, "I think that's really where I've got the most tenderness."

He also acknowledged he wasn't sure he would have been able to start Sunday's game as recently as Friday. Buchholz lasted four innings in his Game 4 stint, albeit with reduced velocity, allowing one unearned run on three hits and three walks.
