Twins' Eddy Rodriguez: Sent to minors
Rodriguez was assigned to Minnesota's minor-league camp.
Rodriguez hasn't appeared in the majors since 2012 as he's had an OPS less than .600 each of the last three years. He'll likely spend the season at Triple-A Rochester.

Twins' Eddy Rodriguez: Agrees to NRI pact with Twins
Rodriguez signed a minor league deal with the Twins on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The 31-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2012 likely due to his batting average in the minors settling around the Mendoza Line since that brief stint. Unless something drastically changes for him, Rodriguez will likely act as an organizational depth piece in his new organization.

Yankees' Eddy Rodriguez: Scores run and drives in two
Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a run, two RBI and two strikeouts in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-2 victory over Rochester on Friday.
Rodriguez went just 2-for-15 with one RBI and one run this spring, which wasn't too far off his 2015 campaign with Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, when he accumulated a combined .170 average over 176 at-bats. A promotion to the majors this year seems unlikely as long as he continues to bat below the Mendoza Line.

Yankees' Eddy Rodriguez: Signs minor league contract with Yankees on Friday
Rodriguez signed a minor league contract with the Yankees on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training Friday, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
The 30-year-old backstop split time between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last season, but couldn't hit above the Mendoza line at either stop. Because of that, he'll likely head back to the minors after spring training concludes.
