  • Yankees' Matt Lipka: Joins Yankees

Lipka signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees.

Lipka spent the 2018 season at Double-A Richmond after signing a minor-league deal with the Giants, and has bounced around Double-A and Triple-A over the last few years. The 26-year-old had a .240/.329/.352 slash line with four home runs in 123 games and should provide organizational outfield depth as he looks to make his MLB debut.

  • Giants' Matt Lipka: Signs with Giants

Lipka signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Monday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.

The 25-year-old is still looking for his first major-league appearance after being taken in the supplemental first round by the Braves back in 2010. He'll likely just serve as organizational depth in 2018 for the Giants, that is if he's even asked to stick around once spring training breaks.
